We’re hiring multiple roles across several disciplines this year, but first up are Partner Managers to help manage Amazon advertising campaigns while having a direct hand on the rapid development of our products, services, and solutions across advertising and audience measurement. If you or someone you know might be interested, I would love to chat.
Notably, we are and will remain a remote-first culture. During my time at Amazon, I was skeptical of making this work, saying to Dana Swygard way back in 2015 that, “we don’t pay people this much money to phone it in at home!” I was wrong then and would have been even more wrong if I committed to that mindset today. Admittedly, a lot has changed, and COVID accelerated our testing on what would make work-from-home not just adequate but an improvement over full-time or hybrid remote/in-office setups.
The benefits are countless and aligned with DPG’s core commitment to helping the communities we care about thrive.
For customers, full remote helps us lower costs (no fancy buildings) and places teammates closer to where our customers live and work; for our customers outside the US, there are more convenient timezones, easier communication, and cultural familiarity.
For our teammates, full remote saves them time and money they can reinvest in what matters to them outside of work instead of spending time and resources living nearby and commuting to an office. It also creates a more inclusive team because our teammates can live closer to the communities they care about and more easily balance the competing demands of work with whatever is important to them outside of work.
From a business perspective, it improves our outcomes because we can hire the best talent from anywhere, not just those from the major US metropolitan areas or those lucky enough to be born in the US AND with the resources to relocate. We can also access and support talent who are more likely to exit the workforce without workplace flexibility. We do our part to reduce the persistent wage gaps that continue negatively impacting women (or primary caregivers) who take time to have children and hire teammates from areas otherwise overlooked by big tech.
On the environmental side, full-remote means less pollution, fewer cars, less commuting time, and an opportunity to reinvest in other areas. In my hometown of Los Angeles, I imagine if a fraction of the infrastructure costs spent developing the 405/101 freeway corridor was reinvested in education, healthcare, or small business loans or if a portion of the money spent on these office parks in addressing the known problems of our from home.
If you or someone may be interested in joining us to manage Amazon advertising campaigns better than any time out there and learn cutting-edge strategy while making a difference for our customers, our communities, and ourselves, please reach out, and let’s talk!
It is hiring time! We are quickly expanding our team across Amazon Advertising account management (Q1/Q2'2024), business intelligence (Q2'2024), and back-end development (2H'2024) disciplines while keeping our values at the core of our expansion. We seek individuals who excel at what they do but regularly want to learn and develop, help others, make a difference in their communities, and have time outside work to do what they love most. We are an entire remote culture, deeply committed to remote work's benefits for the communities we live in, our customers, our teammates, and our environment. Please contact our founder (Ken Smutny) or connect@drivepg.com if you or someone you know is interested.
