MEGA, or "Make Europe Great Again," has ignited a controversy across Europe, reflecting themes similar to nationalist and populist movements. Some European political figures and citizens support the slogan, seeing it as a call for revival and change in Europe. Critics view MEGA as an inappropriate intervention by Elon Musk in European affairs, with some political leaders sharply rebuking the notion. The slogan has been associated with right-wing politics in Europe, with Musk's endorsement drawing criticism from various political leaders. Musk's support for MEGA has been seen as promoting far-right political parties and agendas in Europe. There is a debate over whether MEGA encourages hope or exacerbates pervasive pessimism about Europe's future.

As we approach the upcoming elections, political uncertainty is at an all-time high. For the renewable energy sector, this uncertainty could have profound implications- shaping policy frameworks, incentives, and the overall investment climate. Will we see stronger support for clean energy initiatives? Or will shifting priorities create challenges for projects already in motion? Companies in the renewable space need to be agile, strategic, and ready to adapt to both opportunities and hurdles. Here are a few questions worth considering: - How robust is your risk mitigation strategy in the face of policy changes? - Are you diversifying funding sources to weather potential shifts in subsidies? - How can your organization proactively engage policymakers and stakeholders to ensure stability for the industry? #elonmusk #renewableenergy #cleanenergy

During Trump’s inauguration speech, Elon Musk made a gesture that sparked a lot of discussion on social media and in the press. This event caught the UEF attention as we believe resistance is never over. Indeed, the project of the United Sates of Europe was born from resisting fascism and Nazism that eroded democracy and allowed authoritarian regimes to thrive. We should not forget History, we should never stop resisting. Europe’s continued division—and the costs it incurs in today’s global context—underscores the urgency of taking historical opportunities, as failure to do so risks compromising Europe’s future. The time to build the United States of Europe is now.

Don't meet your heroes, goes the saying. Do watch in full Elon Musk's appearance at a presidential rally at Madison Square Garden. He was joined by one other CEO from My Pillow Guy, Mike Lindell. When people say sustainability, ESG and values aren't important, let this sink in for a moment: More CEOs were forced out for “ethical lapses” than poor financial performance, according to a PwC study back in 2018 (19th annual CEO Success). That doesn't apply to Billionaires, who ignore good governance. Only we, the people, can judge their actions. Tesla will never mean the same to me again. Or SpaceX, StarLink etc. Nor will Elon. When Jochen Zeitz, CEO at Harley Davison, implemented DE&I training, one customer got so angry, he shot his Harley Davidson with a variety of weapons like a full-automatic machine gun until it exploded. Other customers promised never to buy a Harley again. What to do with Tesla etc. and Elon? Let's bombard him with love, empathy and care. We don’t need more anger and division. Elon seems like, he desperately could need some friends. Maybe reach out to him? Ask, if he's feeling ok? Maybe add a sticker to your Tesla "Elon needs a hug" or "Elon needs someone who loves him". Maybe call customer service at StarLink and ask, if Elon is ok and if there's anything you can do to help? Tesla CEO Elon Musk sparked controversy by endorsing Germany's far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, claiming, "Only the AfD can save Germany," in a post shared on X. The endorsement came amid Germany's upcoming elections, where the AfD is polling second. Musk’s endorsement was met with backlash, with figures like Sen. Chris Murphy criticizing Musk for supporting a party with ties to white nationalism and Nazi sympathies. The AfD has been condemned for its extreme views, including promoting anti-Semitic rhetoric and opposing the mainstream climate change consensus. The endorsement comes after Musk’s support for other right-wing figures globally, including Italy’s Giorgia Meloni, the UK’s Nigel Farage, and Argentina’s Javier Milei, aligning with far-right movements in various countries while Tesla faces challenges in the European market. #ElonMusk #Tesla #AlternativeForGermany #AfD #FarRight #Controversy #Politics #SocialResponsibility #WhiteNationalism #NaziSympathies #AntiSemitism #ClimateChangeDenial #businessdor

Well that’s one way to put it 😆? Tesla stock soars, but what does it mean for the future of #EV 🇺🇸? If you missed it, Donald trump and all his craziness is back in the White House and Elon will be one of his cabinet members 🤯. While Trump pledged to kill IRA and anything green in his acceptance speech, many feel Elon is there to save the day for EV. Let’s not forget he owns SpaceX and wants to go to mars which makes for a good partnership with the US government 😉. Here’s the reality, last night was a true loss for the real battle that mattered or a right to choose. The EV market will always do well in a good economy no matter the incentives as investors who have largely shrunk back their EV investments will dive back in. As far as #EVbattery, he may not be green but he loves money and business so time will tell if he’ll just “let China have this market.” It’s a divided congress, so nothing is changing quick. https://lnkd.in/gZRTZAtN

Elon Musk, the billionaire CEO of Tesla (TSLA) and SpaceX, has suggested a potential role for himself in reducing federal spending should Donald Trump secure a second term as U.S. President. Musk’s proposal reflects his ongoing involvement in high-profile political and economic issues, signaling his willingness to leverage his expertise and influence beyond his technological ventures. His idea emphasizes his commitment to addressing national financial challenges, potentially reshaping discussions on government fiscal policies. Musk’s involvement would likely stir significant debate among policymakers and the public, given his prominent status and track record in innovation. The discussion around his proposal intertwines with broader themes of fiscal responsibility and the role of influential tech leaders in shaping national policy. #ElonMusk #Tesla #SpaceX #DonaldTrump #FederalSpending #USPolitics #Innovation #TechLeaders #FiscalPolicy #EconomicReform #GovernmentSpending #Trump2024 #PoliticalInfluence #MuskProposal #FiscalResponsibility #TechInfluence #PolicyDebate #NationalBudget #Leadership #EconomicChallenges

Anyone with power and low EQ should be taken very seriously.
Asked by Damon Beres whether he'd accept the results of the 2024 election, Elon Musk replied, "Of course"—then called Beres a "jackass." Reading too much into Musk’s provocations can be folly—but his outright embrace of extremism should be taken seriously, Beres writes: https://lnkd.in/eyBRj-bC

What we learned this week: 𝗫 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗧𝗲𝘅𝗮𝘀: Elon Musk's latest move shifts SpaceX and X headquarters from California to Texas, highlighting a broader trend of companies fleeing traditional hotspots for more business-friendly environments. This shift underscores the growing irrelevance of geographic centrality in the modern business world. 𝗘𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁: Markets are reacting to the increasing likelihood of a Trump victory in November, impacting various sectors and companies. This shift is reminiscent of 2016, favoring U.S.-focused industries while creating challenges for those reliant on global trade, particularly with China. 𝗔𝗶𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻 𝗜𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲: We have a record-breaking summer travel season paired with one of the toughest profit environments in years. Despite soaring demand, oversupply and intense price competition are squeezing margins, especially for smaller, budget carriers. In 2024, Elon Musk's jets took a staggering 355 trips, featuring 31 journeys to or from the Mar-a-Lago area. This revelation isn't just about travel but mirrors Musk's potential political aspirations. Musk's frequent flights to Palm Beach, housing Mar-a-Lago, coincide with discussions about a possible role in President-elect Donald Trump's administration. These trips are not just incidental; they underscore Musk's growing influence and involvement in political spheres. Beyond Mar-a-Lago, Musk's jets landed in swing states and the Washington, D.C. area, spotlighting his active engagement in political activities. This reflects a strategic alignment that could shape future political-business landscapes. Is this the beginning of a new era where tech moguls like Musk take center stage in politics? Only time will tell. Keep an eye out as the intersection of technology, politics, and innovation continues to evolve. Source: TechCrunch #ElonMusk #Politics #TechInfluence #SpaceX #Tesla
