In the wine industry everyone always says let’s give the consumer what they want and need. Isn’t that a bit boring now when we watch how Fashion doesn’t care about that at all! They love creativity and innovation and creating things that they think are cool and awesome and how could anyone else not think so. Why? Because they believe in individuality, in creativity, in fun, in newness, in innovation, in connectivity, in past present future integrated. So why aren’t we doing this in wine? I personally have always believed in creating new products new experiences that excite and emote. Watch this video and have a smile:- Noel Gallagher telling it how it is and how it should be. Same philosophy for all industries. Create, innovate, play, love, share. https://lnkd.in/d_WF7gfg

Good News Desk ( #GND ), What's Your Good News?! Well is it really good news for consumer? The #GND is with team Tapestry on this one: The deal would have been pro-competitive and pro-consumer. “Tapestry and Capri operate in an industry that is intensely competitive and dynamic, constantly expanding, and highly fragmented among both established players and new entrants,” Tapestry said. “We face competitive pressures from both lower- and higher-priced products and continue to believe this transaction is pro-competitive and pro-consumer.” The "accessible luxury" (a Tapestry coined term) or what the #GND calls the "aspiration luxury" market is massive. So how is this anticompetitive? Chime in pundits:) https://lnkd.in/e8Uu8j-X

With the Original Tommy's celebrating its 78th anniversary, it seems right to share this story again before the month is over: Tom Koulax opened the Original Tommy's shack on Beverly and Rampart back in 1946. In time, Tommy's opened new locations, sold merch, and purchased the land at all four corners of Beverly and Rampart. Two are used by the restaurant and two are leased. Why am I sharing this story? To remind you to look for additional revenue streams instead of relying on one. If you have a steady job, you're in the best position to do something on the side. Start a side hustle and take advantage of the tools at your reach to make it successful. It may even become your main revenue stream in due time. ....& Daughters, you say!?!?! 🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️ The times they are a'changin', at Oldendorff Carriers GmbH & Co. KG at least! My friend, Holly Birkett at TradeWinds captured the exclusive from Oldendorff, on succession plans for the organisation... and while they're quick to note the ladies will continue with their own careers and be passive shareholders; I say, Bravo, keep leading your own life! You don't have to be the public face of the organisation to wield influence or provide meaningful guidance - or to be a beacon of hope to other women across this industry. For too long, the default has been "SoAndSo & Sons" when transitioning businesses to the next generation. "Oldendorff & Daughters" is a strong, forward-thinking statement from Henning. 👏 Having been a close partner to Oldendorff over the past few years, I can say this is far from surprising. Their dominant position in the market isn’t by chance... it’s the result of out of the box thinking, bold decisions and strategic appointments that position them for long-term success. I am definitely inspired! 🔥 Full article below. #shipping #maritime #bulkshipping #generationalplanning #futureproofing #globaltrade #drybulk #partnerships

"We were drowning in a sea of sameness..." That's what Joe Smith, founder of Croze Nest, told me. His barrel making business was: • Competing with mass manufacturers • Racing to the bottom on price • Losing the craft in craftsmanship Here's how he turned it around: 1. Stopped calling them "barrels" Started positioning them as "legacy vessels" 2. Doubled his prices Lost commodity buyers, gained craft partners 3. Documented his process Turned "manufacturing" into "heritage stories" Result? • Partnerships with award-winning distilleries • 2x industry premium pricing The lesson? Different beats better. How is your business different than your competition? P.S. Watch my new masterclass on using tone of voice to boost brand recall: https://lnkd.in/gG2wjm8q

Club culture, like many other creative industries, is facing significant challenges. Rising costs for DJ fees, venue hire, and human resources are making it increasingly difficult for independent collectives to break through and build sustainable careers in event production. That said, it’s vital that the next generation of creatives doesn’t lose heart in the face of these obstacles. It was never going to be easy, but preserving and growing the culture requires persistence and passion. We must continue doing what we love—creating spaces where people can play, connect, and escape the pressures of modern society. At Warmer People, we work tirelessly to foster a safe, inclusive, and vibrant nightlife environment. Our goal is to provide a space where people can let go of their stresses, forge meaningful connections, and, even just for a moment, rediscover joy in a world that often feels overwhelming for young people. Together, we can keep club culture alive and thriving. Come see at as Fabric on the 17th Jan 😉
WARMER PEOPLE & FABRIC presents: CASSIUS CLUB 🦋 It’s been a while London. But we’re back at home, inviting this time round the iconic Cassius for their much-anticipated return. We’ve got a Warmer lineup for you People. See you all there, London 💖 📍 17th Jan 2025 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gGc5ngGH
