Jimmy Carter, the 39th President of the United States, has passed away at the age of 100, having spent nearly two years in hospice care. His dedication to public service and compassionate leadership left an indelible mark on history. As we remember Carter's contributions, we also recognize the importance of hospice care as highlighted by his family's experience. This raised awareness and sparked conversations about end-of-life care. Check out the full news on our blog. #JimmyCarter #Leadership #HospiceCare #EndOfLife #PublicService https://lnkd.in/eQj7Qj_Y

On Wednesday we presented our insights at a client event in London on over 1,000 CEOs in the broader Public, Education and Not for Profit sectors, gathered from our leadership development, succession and recruitment work over the last 3 years. This included behavioural data against our model of leadership excellence 'Altitude' and psychometric data (bright and dark side). We covered: 🔵 The overall strengths and risk areas for CEOs in the context of the challenges they face. 💡 Key Finding: nearly half of CEOs we shortlisted have no high risk dark side derailers, significantly less than that seen in the private sector. 🔵 Comparing the profiles of CEOs to Director level individuals 💡 Key Finding - CEOs outperform Directors, as one would hypothesise, on 8 of the 12 areas of behavioural excellence, as independently determined by our Occupational Psychologists. 🔵 The differences between successful versus shortlisted CEOs 💡 Key Finding - unsuccessful CEO candidates are more likely to display over confidence when under pressure, which can manifest as arrogance, a sense of entitlement and overplaying capability. The stories that followed from the expert panel and the discussion in the room were inspiring and thought provoking, I'm already looking forward to the next one! You can access a copy of the report at the following link: https://lnkd.in/eM8vhCkc Please do get in touch to discuss the insights and how we can support you from our Leadership and Talent Consultancy. #Leadership #CEO #DATA #LeadershipInsight #LeadershipAssessment
We are hugely grateful to our hosts, panellists and guests who joined us for yesterday's CEO event at The King's Fund. It was a fantastic opportunity to explore our data with you all and get under the skin of the traits, behaviours, the bright and the dark side of personalities that mark success for current and future CEOs. Enormous thanks to our host and compere Joe Montgomery CB and our esteemed panellists, Clare Marchant, Michelle Russell, Sacha Deshmukh and Rebecca Lawrence. As well as Mark Powell, Marie Blakesley and Liaquat Lal from our Leadership & Talent Consultancy team who led the insight and leadership development sessions. But, what made it a standout event for all of us at GS was the candour and insights shared from our wide range of CEOs across the Education, Not for Profit and Public Sector who joined us. Thank you for sharing so openly under the Chatham House Rules and making the discussions so rich. We'll be sharing much more of the data and key insights over the coming weeks, but for now, if you are a CEO or aspiring CEO keen to find out more, do reach out to our Leadership Team at Mark.Powell@gatenbysanderson.com or Marie.Blakesley@gatenbysanderson.com #CEO #PublicSector #Education #NotforProfit #CharityLeaders #Data #Leadership
