At Munro Building Services we believe that mental health and wellbeing is an essential element to a successful workforce. Our Health and Safety Manager Rowan Swanser AIEMA and Charlotte Gander have been delivering “take a break” packs to a number of our sites in support of World Mental Health Day. Judging by the pictures, they all seem to have appreciated this small gesture! We understand the difficulties that many people face in the construction industry and that’s why we encourage all of our employees to utilise our mental health first aid team who can provide support should it be required. #worldmentalhealthday #WMHD #Mentalhealth #Wellbeing #Itsgoodtotalk #constructionindustry #reachout #lighthousecharity

Today is R U OK? Day – a reminder that a simple conversation can make a big difference in someone's life. SFC have been spotlighting employee health over the last while, and we’re proud that 3 of our management staff have recently completed their Mental Health First Aid course. They’re now more equipped to spot the signs, start the conversation, and offer support where it’s needed most. You don't have to have formal training to have a meaningful and impactful chat, just lending an ear when someone has a rough day can make the world of difference! Australian construction workers are six times more likely to die from suicide than an accident at work. In our industry, safety isn’t just about the physical – it’s about mental wellbeing too. Let’s keep checking in on our mates. 💬👷♂️ #RUOKDay #RUOK #MentalHealthInConstruction #LiveWellWorkWell #ThrivingTogether

Did you know that today is World Mental Health Day 2024? At ACS, we know the construction industry can be challenging, both physically and mentally. That's why we're more committed than ever to building a culture of care and support for our team’s mental well-being. A recent report by the Chartered Institute of Building revealed that 56% of construction professionals work for organisations without any mental health policies. This is why we're dedicated to making a difference. Here are a few ways we support our team's mental health at ACS: • Mental health first aiders • Open, non-judgmental forums for consulting with site teams • 24/7 EAP service to support our team and their families • My Wellness app Let’s continue raising awareness about mental health and being the change we want to see in the construction industry. #WorldMentalHealthDay #Construction #MentalHealth

The supporters need support too and setting up a robust network of MHFAiders and Champions is essential.
