Mural makes it easy to capture and organize your ideas asynchronously but it's up to you to set the rules and make it effective. Follow these guidelines the next time you host a brainstorm: 👉 Accept all the wild and creative ideas 👉 Use asynchronous (or pre-work) or private work to allow for individual brainstorming and avoid groupthink 👉 Build on other team member's ideas 👉 Don't criticize others' ideas 👉 Focus on quantity, not quality 👉 Make it visual 👉 Make it collaborative (and dare we say, fun!)

I work with emerging and established professionals to energize leadership development, build real teams, and create a cooperative workplace culture ▪ Experienced executive coach and organization development consultant.
Just calling a group of people a team doesn’t automatically make them one. It takes intention and attention to build a team that works well together and achieves important results. One key is to make some space for discussing *how* the team collaborates on a regular basis. How do we put the pieces of the puzzle together? What have we learned about how we work as a team? We can be so focused on getting things done that we overlook ways we can be more effective and productive by improving how we work on those tasks as a team. Two key action steps: create shared team agreements/expectations and debrief completed projects with a discussion of how we did collaborating. Intentional team-building is a sound ongoing investment, and the payoff can include excellent teamwork, engagement, and creativity. #teams #teamBuilding #facilitation #collaboration Public domain CC0 image from rawpixel.com

Team Alchemist | Helping technical leaders get the best out of others | Enhancing team culture | Coach, Engineer & Systems Thinker
I’m experimenting with using images in team development sessions to enable people to express themselves in different ways. In a recent session, I invited participants to select images that held personal significance, then to share their interpretations of those images. This activity provided insights into their feelings and an opportunity to share personal experiences, promoting deeper understanding and connection among colleagues. I chose the images below. My first image represents a conscious effort to slow down, let go of time pressures, and be fully present in the moment. This image conveys the idea of creating a sense of space and ease, allowing for unhurried interactions. My second image symbolises the unpredictable nature of teamwork, like sitting in a fire. The intense heat may cause discomfort, but it ultimately serves a valuable purpose, whether it's forging a sharp tool or fostering the courage to have necessary conversations. This image highlights the challenges and rewards of working as a team. What images best represent your own experiences with teamwork? #teamculture #teamdevelopment

The reason it takes effort to multitask is when an interruption occurs, you have to understand the context before engaging the new topic. So it takes energy and effort to access what you know about the context before you can even engage. Strategies to reduce the fire fighting, improve focus and be more productive in a team environment: - Create a routine for the team - Cleanly separate the problem defining session from the design session - Think. Use writing to clarify your own thoughts

It's true that body language is a potent means of communication, especially in team projects. Recognizing cues for motivation and inspiration can foster better collaboration. Positive gestures like open posture, engaged eye contact, and affirmative nods often signal motivation, while expressions of enthusiasm and shared excitement convey inspiration. Integrating these cues into your own communication can enhance team dynamics and contribute to project success.

While working with a team, the most important thing is to realize and understand that not everyone in the team has the same level of technical/communication skills. it is your responsibility to understand/explain anything as if you are that particular person. Example: - Talking with a Junior: make sure to use the terms that are understandable to him/her. - Talking to a senior: Make sure you know the problem in detail and come up with a solution instead of thinking "This isn't my work" Always be clear about the message before speaking. This way, you'll be able to connect better with your team. #TeamBuilding #TeamWork #GameDevelopment

Collaboration isn't just about teamwork; it's the rocket fuel for creativity! 🎨 At Madmation Studio, we've witnessed firsthand the transformative power of collaboration. When minds align and talents intertwine, sparks fly, and creativity ignites like never before. But how do we cultivate such synergy? First and foremost, communication is key. Clear, open lines of communication lay the foundation for fruitful collaboration. It's about more than just sharing ideas; it's about truly listening, understanding, and building upon each other's contributions. Next, embrace diversity. Our team is a tapestry of backgrounds, perspectives, and skill sets. Instead of shying away from differences, we celebrate them. After all, it's the clash of ideas that often births the most innovative solutions. Moreover, fostering a culture of trust is non-negotiable. When team members feel safe to express themselves and take risks, they're more likely to unleash their full creative potential. It's about creating an environment where everyone feels valued and empowered. But perhaps most importantly, never underestimate the power of collaboration to push boundaries and elevate our work to new heights. Alone, we may be proficient, but together, we're unstoppable. 🚀✨ #2danimation #2danimator #animationstudio #animators
