Last month, Mo Punjwani, BizOps & Strategy at Mural Health, joined thousands of riders in the Pan-Mass Challenge, cycling 210 miles over two days to raise money for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. We’re incredibly proud of Mo's dedication to making a difference and how he embodies our values outside of the office.
As Mo shared, “This year feels even more important for so many reasons. Over the last 30 years, the risk of dying from cancer has steadily declined, sparing some 4 million lives in the United States. Thanks to the relentless dedication of so many, advancements in treatment and early cancer detection promise to continue this trend.”
Well done, Mo! We're so grateful to have you on our team!

A quick update for those following - One Month and a bit into the New Year and I wanted to send a big #thanks to Rafael Protacio of Elite Finance, who's just donated a massive $1000 to my #fundraising efforts!
"$1000 can help equip a laboratory-based research team working on a new #cancertreatment. Advances in the detection and treatment of #cancer have been so crucial in getting Victoria's cancer survival rate up to 69%, and it contintues to ensure more people surive into the future."

In 2010, my family embarked on a journey that reshaped our perspective on life, courage, and the power of resilience. Following my son’s diagnosis, we found ourselves navigating through the complexities of emotions, treatments, and the search for hope. It’s been 11 years since the end of treatment (EOT), and our journey has been nothing short of transformative.
Recently, I came across a post from Lennox CCF about the book “Fearless Fin,” a story that resonates deeply with my family’s experience. This book not only captures the essence of bravery in the face of adversity but also serves as a beacon of hope for families similar to ours. It eloquently illustrates the journey many of us are all too familiar with, yet often struggle to articulate.
“Fearless Fin” is more than just a story; it’s a testament to the indomitable spirit of those fighting battles we can hardly imagine. It reminds us of the importance of support, understanding, and never losing hope, even when faced with the greatest challenges.
To anyone navigating through similar storms, know that you’re not alone. Stories like “Fearless Fin” and organisations like Lennox CCF are valuable resources and sources of comfort and strength.
As we reflect on our journey and the profound impact of this book, I am reminded of the importance of sharing our stories. They not only provide solace but also illuminate the path for others in similar situations. Let’s continue to support each other, spread awareness, and celebrate every victory, no matter how small.

Let’s make a life-saving difference together! Children's Cancer Therapy Development Institute (cc-TDI) is just $19,000 away from reaching the September Childhood Cancer Awareness Month goal of $110,000 to help accelerate the critical mission of making all childhood cancers universally survivable.
cc-TDI is the only non-profit biotech exclusively focused on underserved childhood cancers, integrating discovery research, development, and clinical efforts. The disparity in drug development is striking—while nearly 600 drugs have been approved for adult cancers in the last 20 years, only 29 have been approved for children over the past 25 years, and just 13 were specifically developed for pediatric use. cc-TDI is working to close this gap by overcoming the barriers that slow pediatric drug development, and your support makes this possible.
With just 12 hours left, now is the time to act. Will you join us in investing in children's futures across the globe? Your gift today could unlock tomorrow's life-saving treatments. Your generosity—whether it’s $30, $300, or more—could be the key to ensuring that every child has the chance to live a full, vibrant life.
Join us today and help drive life-saving research forward! 👇

On the 25th of April, teams from many different companies will be working together with Google to help the Prinses Máxima Centrum voor kinderoncologie discover ways in which Generative AI can help them in their mission.
This mission is to work towards a world where no kid has to go through cancer and where they can live a life free of the long term symptoms that often follow.
If you want to help this cause (and it would mean a lot to me if you did), then you can do a couple of things:
1. You can register for the hackathon itself on the 25th of April as a team. Reach out to me if you are interested, we still have a couple of open slots.
2. If you're not of the technical sort, you can donate and help support their mission here:

Let's use technology to make the world a better place :)

Bradley University houses many students who are driven by compassion. I had the pleasure of interviewing seven female students who recently started a new chapter of Fighting Pretty: a nationwide non-profit chapter that provides aid to women battling cancer. I am inspired by the stories their stories and it was an honor to share them with readers. Check out my new article for "Here's the Latest"

The Pablove Foundation helps kids with cancer live a love-filled life today and a cancer-free life tomorrow.
They do that through art and science. ❤️
They unlock creativity and joy for kids in cancer treatment or remission with their Shutterbugs photography program.
They also award grants to new and novel approaches to pediatric cancer research.
“I got into fundraising and development work because I wanted to help others,” said Gumpert. “It’s so powerful to be able to make a difference and empower youth. Just seeing that genuine happiness makes my day.”
“Funding.” Gumpert said. “That's the biggest challenge we're trying to overcome. We want to serve more kids, but in order to serve more kids, we need to raise more money.”
Their CEO wanted them to be on a texting platform and told Gambert to run with it.
They use Classy for their fundraising platform and Classy recommended Rally.
The Pablove Foundation partnered with a sports team and needed a simple message to put on the jumbotron in front of 30,000 people.
Within a month or two they upgraded so they could send outbound text messages for various campaigns.
Now they use Rally all the time. 👏
“We definitely made our money back, and we actually grew our audience,” Gumpert said.
