While it's (Extremely) DISTURBING that the #Global #Community, particularly the #UN/#UNSC have been (Mute) SPECTATORS to the #Conflicts/#Attacks & #CounterAttacks in #Geo-#Political HOTSPOTs, particularly in the #MiddleEast....it's (quite) REGRETTABLE that the 1) #MiddleEast REGION's (Constituent) STATES, besides their (External) #Allies have been trying to AGGRAVATE the #Situation by FUELLING the #Conflict(s)/#Attacks, rather than EXPLORE any (possible) #Conflict #Resolution or #Peace INITIATIVEs - in order to avoid any (potential) #Global #Catastrophe 2) the #UN or it's #Enforcing ARM - the #UNSC - hasn't come up with any #Conflict #Resolution/#Peace INITIATIVEs or any (#Emergency) #Meeting/GATHERING of its members - in order to EXPLORE for any (potential) #Conflict #Resolution or #Peace #Mechanisms/INITIATIVES MOST IMPORTANTLY, Considering the fact the #UN/#UNSC & #Allied #Global #Institutions were CREATED in the aftermath of #WorldWarII, besides the fact they weren't REFORMED, adequately - in order to TACKLE the #Challenges of the PRESENT DAY's #World ORDER - it becomes (Increasingly) necessary to REFORM the #UN/#UNSC & it's (#Allied) #Institutions that (Not Only) REFLECTs the TODAY's #World ORDER & Realities but to RESPOND to (potential) #Crises SITUATION, like #Conflicts or #Geo-#Political DEADLOCKs, going forward

A two-state solution will never be fair. There needs to be a new, secular, democratic single state, one that compensates the indigenous people of historic Palestine for 75 years of illegal theft, violence, slaughter, ethnic cleansing and genocide: a single state solution. #onestate #singlestate #odsi

Who said we want peace? We seek liberation that leads to peace! The American administrations tried for decades to fool the world by promoting their version of peace in the Middle East. Let's dive in the core of their peace deception scheme.. While peace sounds great, but its not equal to liberation. Liberation is a broader sense of freedom and empowerment, while peace is more focused on the absence of conflict or disturbance and here is the issue Palestinians have experienced for long time. You can live in peace even if you're being enslaved by accepting the status quo, but to be liberated is the ultimate peace where you dictate your life in a free manner. I guess now you know why Palestinians are taking matters into their own hands! Free & Libertad Palestine 🇵🇸

Peacemaking doesn't mean passivity. It is the act of interrupting injustice without mirroring injustice, the act of disarming evil without destroying the evildoer, the act of finding a third way that is neither fight nor flight but the careful, arduous pursuit of reconciliation and justice. It is about a revolution of love that is big enough to set both the oppressed and the oppressors free. -Shane Claiborne #shaneclaiborne #peace #peacequote #freedom #quoteoftheday #endwar #genocide #endgenocide #humanrights #socialjustice #magnoliamoonshot2030 #sdgs #sustainabledevelopment #love #revolution #revolutionoflove #reconciliation #justice #injustice #palestine #congo #westpapua #ethiopia #drc #armenia #sudan #burma

On our journey to #InternationalDayofPeace, UNITAR asks some training participants what cultivating a culture of peace means to them. Olatunde Fawibe, a previous student in our Master’s degree in Lifelong Learning in Conflict, Peace and Security, explains that we must aim to create a system that emphasises the respect for humanity within the communities we are a part of, which is essential to cultivating peace. 📹 "A culture of peace is a way of life that rejects violent conflict in its entirety.” What does cultivating a culture of peace mean to you? #PeaceDay #UNITAR #KnowledgeToLead #CultivatePeace

"From the standpoint of the #humanitarian-#peace-#development nexus per se, it is self-evident that in African conflict environments where people are killed, maimed, and displaced persistently, it is extremely difficult, if at all possible, for essential social and religious values of peace, truth, justice, and mercy to take deep communal root. One may even claim that these values cannot take deep communal root in such persistent manifest violent conflict environments because of the extremely volatile unstable conditions. These gospel values are of utmost importance for people to live normal lives aspiring to the fulfillment of conflict resolution, sustainable peace, and reconciliation. Reconciliation as a process acknowledges the past, reframes the present, and envisions a future where all sides are mutually committed to freedom to the human dignity, security, development, and holistic well-being of each other."

What innovative approaches can we adopt to make our Monitoring & Evaluation processes truly inclusive and reflective of community needs? How do we ensure that feedback from those impacted drives the success of our development initiatives? 🌱 🎤 At InsightShare we believe it's time to pass the mic. That's why we collaborated with Kerk in Actie, Cordaid and local organisations in Kenya to address this issue! The Shared Futures initiative intervenes in contexts where political actors prey on economic hardships to incite interfaith tensions and religious extremism. We advised the programme on how to incorporate Participatory Video as a Monitoring and Evaluation tool. We ensured that we delivered contextually relevant skills promoting conflict resolution, meaningful peace and sustainable reconciliation 🕊 The Shared Futures participants documented how the project impacted their lives and shared their stories of change. The new decree was implemented in Vietnam requiring religious groups to provide financial records and granting local government officials the authority to suspend religious activities. These guidelines aim to enhance the government’s management of religion, aligning with the 2018 Law on Belief and Religion, which mandates religious groups to register with the government. Christians in Vietnam face hostility and violence, especially non-traditional Protestants and converts in remote areas. Though pressure has slightly eased, attacks on believers and arrests of church leaders are rising. Despite these challenges, there are opportunities for the gospel to shine brightly. Efforts to promote a culture of hedonism and materialism in Muslim society through globalization can be seen as a tactic of fifth-generation warfare. This is because such efforts aim to undermine the moral and spiritual values of the Muslim community, creating divisions and weakening its unity and resilience. #hedonism and materialism
