Are you aware that becoming a truly inclusive leader involves recognizing and honoring the unique cognitive styles and abilities within your team? In an article by Oana Gherasim for Exceptional Individuals, the concept of neuro-inclusive leadership is explored in depth. According to Gherasim, neuro-inclusive leaders are pivotal in creating a work environment that not only acknowledges, but also nurtures different neurological needs, paving the way for innovation and empathy in the workplace. This involves educating oneself on neurodiversity, adapting communication strategies, and reshaping the work environment to be more accommodating and flexible. Simple changes, such as offering sensory-friendly workspaces or providing clear, concise instructions, can make a substantial difference in enhancing organizational productivity and inclusivity. https://lnkd.in/e-FuQ6Xd #NeuroLeadership #Leadership

Over the past two weeks I have been part of passionate conversations with French leaders on #culture areas where some of the biggest shifts are happening this year. #Empathy is chief amongst these, and for good reason: according to #HarvardBusinessReview, empathy and #leadership are seen as keys to success by 80% of the CEOs they interviewed. In contrast, 41% of employees feel their leaders' expressions of empathy are empty of meaningful deeds. This gap is not surprising: since 2020 we have seen a consistent increase in pressure felt by middle managers and leaders. They are expected to deliver more and to take better care of their people. Their roles having become more demanding and more stressful, this group experiences severe distress as companies often forget that managers are people, too. If you are noticing similar signs in your workplaces, or are simply curious about the topic, I warmly recommend this piece by Mindi Cox, where she speaks through how to employ practical empathy at work alongside supporting systems and what the results look like in real life, every day. https://lnkd.in/gmjw_yk4
