Join us at the Texas Energy Council Annual Symposium on May 2, 2024, at the Arts District Mansion in Dallas for the 12:40am panel discussion, "Raising Texas’ Energy IQ: How Can YOU Support Energy Education in Texas."
This panel will focus on how the continually growing global energy needs must be balanced with environmental concerns. Alternatives to fossil fuels, such as solar, wind, hydrogen, electrification, and geothermal, push to expand their usage, using climate as a motivator for public support. The need to foster #innovation and #education in the #energy space has never been more important. This panel will dive into steps to ensure the next generation of Texans understand our energy needs, how needs are impacted by local and global economic diversities, and the benefits and environmental impacts of available energy sources.
Panelist:
Courtnie Bagley – Education Director, Texas Public Policy Foundation
Courtnie manages curriculum development and teacher professional development efforts, working to grow Classroom:Powered and other Texas Public Policy Foundation’s energy and civics education programs, and works to ensure the best education policies are put into practice in Texas schools. 3moIt's awesome to see Murphy Oil Corporation developing the next generation through STEM activities. Therefore, encouraging young students to understand more about the oil and natural gas industry is a good way to prepare for the future. Well done to your engineering, geology, finance, and operations people for their idea generation and engaging discussions. I look forward to witnessing the development of these initiatives in the future of energy. #OilandgasInnovation #FutureLeaders
