As in an industry oversight, the height safety industry is “unregulated”. This is simply because the refrenced related standards in the falls code are not marked part of legislation. 2024 needs better legislation, compliance checks, regulation in the intrest of public safety. For easy reference here are the refrenced standards with no legislative law. Making the height safety industry unregulated. Did you know every year #construction workers die on the job or are severely injured because of improper fall protection when working at heights across #NovaScotia? ⚠️Falls can happen from ladders, elevating work platforms, permanent structures like roofs, and temporary structures such as scaffolds and other types of work platforms. To help combat this issue, a total of 14 organizations that make up the Construction Safety Coalition have come together to launch a new fall protection awareness campaign.
