Anthesis was delighted to sponsor the 2024 Climate Innovation Forum, which took place last week at the historic Guildhall in London, UK.
Taking place as part of London Climate Action Week, the event brought together over 1,500 leaders from business, policy, investment, and civil society to accelerate climate action. Conversations and content throughout the event emphasised turning promises into actions, and showcased the brave leadership, innovative solutions, and radical collaborations necessary to bridge gaps in implementation, investment, and scaling up of innovation.
The Anthesis team, including Sarah Jones, Zara Plummer, Jonathan Oon, Michael Kelsall, and Bianca Nijhof, joined the discussion, with our Executive Director and Climate Practice Lead EMEA, Jono Adams participating in an insightful panel discussion on 'Bridging the Implementation Gap: Accelerating the Energy Transition.' Key takeaways from this panel included emphasis on the importance of:
💡 Ensuring a demand-led transition where businesses, cities, and civil society thrive in a clean energy system,
💡 Fostering a safe and just transition which puts people at the centre of the process,
💡 Developing effective policy frameworks to incentivise the transition, and
💡 Harnessing clean tech innovation from smart grids to battery energy storage systems to accelerate the transition.
