You need happy RBTs more than happy clients. I’ve worked with a LOT of clinics and institutions over the years. Time and time again, the ones that put their staff first had the best outcomes for their clients. It’s not complicated - it’s basic human nature. Yes, the customer is (sometimes) always right but when they treat the staff poorly, you MUST stick up for your staff. They are the most important part of the team. ABA clinics sometimes struggle with this and I feel bad for those RBTs and BCBAs who get the short end of the deal. Bottom line - happy staff equals client progress. That’s it. P.S.
