Tomorrow's Leaders 🇺🇸 While reading 'A Passion for Leadership' by Robert M. Gates (I'm a big fan of his work!), I came across this powerful quote from President John Adams: 'Public business, my son, must always be done by somebody. It will be done by somebody or other. If wise men decline it, others will not; if honest men refuse it, others will not.' These words resonate deeply today. In our complex world, we face a critical need: We must inspire our best and brightest to choose public service. Why? Because effective governance, innovation, and ethical leadership are crucial for our future. My nonprofit experience has shows me daily the profound difference committed individuals can make. Whether in government, military, or community organizations, service to others elevates us all. How can we encourage more 'wise and honest' citizens to step up to the challenge of public service? Here in the UK, it's hard to go anywhere this week without football (or soccer for my American friends) being part of the over-a-beer conversation.
