As I sit in the warm sunshine of Cyprus (Working! I Promise!) I am aware of the cold and wet we've had for months in the UK. It's undeniable that music and weather affect your mood. I investigate this a little in my new blog here https://wix.to/MXYmTZW #freemusicforschools #musickidsacademy #musickids #newblogpost

Specialist General Practitioner and Lifestyle Medicine Physician with a multidisciplinary background, underpinned by medical science, nutrition and the humanities.
The strongest association to longevity appears to be social connection…. What make us connecting with other human beings so important? I guess that expressing our understanding of the world, making meaning of our challenges, soothing our souls is what we do together. The arts (fine arts, dance, music, you name it) are such important ways in how we express and define ourselves. As my life has been one filled with music this article resonates strongly with me. Music on prescription is right up my alley! No point living a long life if it isn’t filled with some joy and wonder along the way! What gets your mojo going? https://lnkd.in/gT3aY9hg

Harmony over hesitation: 'It’s easy to say no when there’s a deeper yes burning inside.' 🔥🎶 Often in music, as in life, we face decisions that test our resolve. Whether it's choosing to pursue a difficult piece, stepping onto the stage despite nerves, or dedicating time to practice instead of immediate gratification. This quote speaks to the power of inner conviction; when we're truly passionate about music, that 'deeper yes' guides our choices, pushing us towards growth and fulfillment. What song encapsulates that moment for you – when you chose your passion for music over doubt? Share your anthem of affirmation with us. 🎵❤️ #MusicalConviction #DeeperYes #ChaseYourPassion

Music is such an integral part of my existence, from time perception to helping with sleep & focusing while carrying out work, study or tasks. On the flipside, some variations (including experimental jazz, high opera & voice-tuned vocals) are physically painful. I also know of a mathematician who doesn't like music, which I find intriguing as, correct me if wrong, "music is maths". Preferences asides, I feel that music is a much overlooked component of enhancing the ND experience. Would be interesting to know if this is being explored within the MH sphere. Musical: The Universal Connection Hello, family! Today, I'm reveling in the beauty of the weather—it's truly blooming around me with a delightful 26 degrees Celsius in May, quite a surprise! 🎵 ( 🤕Tried something for the 1st time on LinkedIn) As I was enjoying this weather, I found myself immersed in my playlist—a mix of Taylor Swift, Shawn Mendes, and a few 90s classics. It got me thinking: why not connect over a universal language—music? 🌻 LinkedIn is all about professionalism and mutual support, but let's add another layer to the mix. Amid our busy lives, we all seek peace of mind, and sometimes, that peace can come from heartfelt connections—whether it's through conversation or, yes, even through the language of music. 💗 So, why not combine the two? Let's deepen our professional bonds with a touch of harmony. (I'm not trying to be a radio here, but it's just a medium for connection and new engagement.). 🎹 P.s. - weather + guitar = sukoon 🎶 . Drop your current favorite song in the comments below and let's create some musical connections. 🎶😊 #linkedin #connections

Dɪsᴄᴏᴠᴇʀɪɴɢ ᴛʜᴇ Essᴇɴᴄᴇ ᴏғ Mᴜsɪᴄ For me, music is not just a series of notes or a collection of sounds; it's the harmony that resonates with our souls. It's the silence that speaks louder than words. It's the rhythm of life itself. When we can truly listen to the world around us, we find that everything is music. Everything has a rhythm, a melody, and a story to tell. And in this realization, we find our own harmony, our own silence, and our own peace. Here is a short note of my experience with Music. Do read and respond. https://lnkd.in/g_wsQZ5D

How you say something is as powerful as what you say.
Melody refers to the different notes you can hit with your voice. Have you noticed how even music without words can make you feel a certain way? That's the same with your voice. You may mean well with the things you say, but if you say it in a monotone voice, or an angry voice, people will perceive the message differently. If I'm at a funeral and I say "sorry for your loss" in a happy tone, they're gonna think I murdered the damn person ☠️ So I hope it's clear that it's not just about what you say, it's also about how you say it!
