🚨 Instagram's latest update on the Music feature 🚨 What’s the update about? Now you can share your fav song with the video format of vinyl “playing the song” And with the rising nostalgia of tumblr/ alternative core is so fitting for it. I can totally see this “vinyl moment” taking over Instagram photo dumps instead of stories, don't you think? PS: Is Tumblr REALLY on the way to making ITS comeback? or maybe they really never left? #socialmedia #smm #instagram #tumblr #updates #marketing

Artists, how many times have we heard those words? The simple fact is that most people do not see an opportunity. They don’t see that your artistry is going to open up a gateway of growth. here are three things that I did to start growing my fan base: 1. Create eye-catching content that promotes your music: every piece of content is an opportunity for you to push your music and get new people who haven’t heard your song to become fans of it. 2. Don’t just stick to TikTok or Instagram try other platforms: there are millions of people out there in the world and not everybody uses TikTok or Instagram. The simple fact is you’re trying to get as many people to listen to your music as possible so why only limit yourself to one or two platforms? 3. Release consistently in the form of singles: by releasing singles rather than albums you allow each one of your songs to find new fans. Do you want to learn the exact strategies I used to grow my Fanbase? comment “Spotify growth” and I’ll send you my free guide

🎯 Jack White just schooled us on how to create buzz in today's oversaturated music market 🎸👩🎓 His latest album "No Name" was quietly given away for free at his Third Man Records stores - no streaming, no pre-release hype, no servicing press, just plain white vinyl in unmarked sleeves. If you came to either of his stores, the record was slipped silently into your bag, no fuss. The result? A viral sensation and copies selling for $1000+ on eBay. Indie artists, take note 🎯 ▶ Embrace scarcity: Limited physical releases can create demand. ▶ Ditch traditional promo: Sometimes silence speaks louder than hype. ▶ Focus on your core fans: **Reward those who seek you out** ▶ Create an experience: Make getting your music an event in itself ▶ Stay true to your brand: White's approach perfectly fit his mystique ▶ You don't need a major label to pull this off. With some creativity and a strong connection to your fanbase, you can generate serious buzz on a shoestring budget. See comments for a link to the excellent Hypebot piece by by Fred Jacobs What do you think? Could this approach work for emerging artists, or is it only effective for established names? #marketing #musicmarketing #vinyl #musicbusiness #musicbiz #strategy #tactics #artistdevelopment #community

Music industry friends: Instagram just rolled out a new feature to activate your fandoms! Instagram launched a new Music for Profile feature with the help of Sabrina Carpenter. Music for Profile allows creators and individual users to add a song directly to their profile to express their vibe — giving shades of MySpace. To celebrate, Carpenter dropped an exclusive teaser track. It’s the first-ever teaser of her new song, “Taste” on her Instagram profile using the new music feature and fans will only be able to get a first listen of the song on her profile, since it won’t be released anywhere else until the full album drops. Note: You can find the Add Music option now in the Edit Your Profile section. Besides being a fun feature to play around with — imagine the possibilities of activating fandoms around artists releasing new music or re-activating older tracks?! Does anyone else think this has huge potential?? #Instagram #Music #Fandoms
