Part 4: It can be difficult enough to get a teen to look up from their phone on a good day but it can be nearly impossible to engage with one who is in the middle of a mental health crisis. Must! partnered with Transitions Mental Health Association to rebuild their Crisis Call Center, which included new texting services essential to teens. In what other areas can we play a role relative to mental health in our community? Share your thoughts in the comments.

Our recent #PULS research tells us that people with higher mental distress tend to face more legal problems, have multiple issues at once, and their problems last longer. We also know that experiencing legal issues is linked to higher mental distress and increases the chances of facing more problems. Better co-ordination between legal and health services can improve both health and justice outcomes. This World Mental Health Day we are celebrating meaningful connections and raising awareness about how our connections can help us achieve good mental health. Breaking the silence on mental health stigma is crucial for fostering understanding and support. Recognizing the medical significance of dismantling stigma is key. Stigmatizing attitudes can deter individuals from seeking professional help, exacerbating the impact of mental health disorders. By fostering an open dialogue, we empower people to seek the treatment they need without fear of judgment. Let's build a community where everyone feels heard, understood, and supported on their mental health journey. 🤝💙 ========================== Struggling with your mental health? As mental health awareness month comes to an end..."Let's continue to talk about mental health. Did you know that 20% of teens experience depression before adulthood, and only 30% receive treatment? It's time to end the stigma and ensure everyone gets the support they need. Anxiety affects 3.6% of 10–14-year-olds and 4.6% of 15–19-year-olds, yet many suffer in silence. Suicide is the third leading cause of death for people ages 15–24, with an adolescent dying by suicide every 100 minutes. We need more mental health providers and safe spaces in schools to address these issues. Remember, you're not alone, and it's okay to ask for help. #EndTheStigma #MentalHealthMatters"
