20 years ago, Transaction Risk Insurance (TRI) was a common component in the European and US markets, but not within the appetite of either clients or underwriters looking at deals across, or from, the MENA region. The focus was purely on operational insurance risk management, not the transaction risk itself. Move on to 2024 and we’ve all evolved. We now have TRI as a key component of almost every MENA deal team's tool kit in a marketplace where competition is fierce amongst underwriters.
