Less than a month to go until the Duchenne Dash 2024, and my training is well underway! I'm excited to be taking part in this challenging cycling event that will see riders complete a gruelling 300km journey from London to Paris in just 24 hours. But this isn't just about the physical challenge. I'm also doing this to raise awareness and funds for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), a debilitating disease that affects young boys, causing muscle weakness and eventually leading to paralysis. While there have been some promising developments in treatment, such as gene therapy trials and drugs like Givinostat, there is still no cure.
