We are in the final leg of our trip, and if you want a more affordable “#Swiss holiday,” you must come to #Georgia! Check out the grandiose mountains behind Verena Lee. As I walk around the monasteries and reflect while traveling on the long and winding roads, these thoughts come to mind: - Stop being afraid to spend money. If you spend $1000 or 10,000 to travel, so what? You’re not wasting money; you’re buying memories, especially if you’re with your loved ones. - One of the biggest mistakes is believing that you’ll find the perfect person effortlessly. In reality, being in love requires work, a desire to love, making sacrifices, and overcoming challenges together. - Life is short, and if we don’t enjoy it, it’s still going to be short. Be with the people you love and strive to be someone others love. Don’t make life difficult for others, and don’t let others bring you down. While we struggle through obstacles, know that everything will be fine eventually. - Work as if everything depends on you and pray as if everything depends on God. This isn’t just rhetoric or superstition. It's about finding moments of stillness and quiet to connect with a higher purpose. In those moments, you will find strength and clarity.

Traveling is a simple way to trigger your fears which helps you get rid of 'em and establish peace of mind.

Peaceful Shores...I find peace walking along the white sugar sand beaches in the Gulf Shores… Peaceful walks along the beach with the warm breeze blowing the waves to ripple and fall onto the shore…walks with thousands of sea shells is a treasure to find something unique in color, shape, or the size of a heart. The beach and coastal waters take one away to such a relaxed state of mind where you connect with nature at a deeper level. It reminds me of a place where I’m called to let go & relax. Let go of work, let go of worry, let go of the past, let go of regrets, let go, and just be. Just live life to the fullest in a state of wonder and awe of what tomorrow will bring, but a state of Joy of where I am today. Does one have to go on vacation to have these types of feelings? For me, it’s getting away from home where my work resides. I bring work with me of course to blog, to share, to hopefully inspire others in my journey. I have found Peace to be a deep inner part of who I am, or called to be. I find Peace in the sound of the waves as they hit the shore. The most relaxing sound to help sleep and calm the soul. I find Peace as I talk to a stranger on the beach about sand dollars, and they begin to tell me where they are from and the number of years they have been coming to the same beach. Small talk, but still walking away feeling good about a meaningful conversation. I find Peace in uniting with forever friends sharing meals at the table, laughing about memories of the past, and being so comfortable with each other they are called family to me. Making new memories with friends is a treasure that is to be held in the depths of the heart. Go on vacation, feel peace walking along the beach in a tropical setting. Better yet, find it in your heart each and everyday as you seek your passion and purpose for this thing called life. Find meaning in your life, know that you are called to something outside of yourself to find eternal peace. A LIGHT TRAVELLER IS A HAPPY TRAVELLER❤️ ❤️ Many, if not most, of us accumulate too much emotional baggage as we move through life. Everyone carries this kind of baggage to some degree. We all have tendencies to stick with certain experiences which weigh us down & leave us feeling vulnerable or hurt in some way. ❤️ This baggage is much like the baggage you carry on your travels - when you have too much of it, you end up paying for it over & over again. Likewise, emotional baggage is quite costly. The extra baggage you drag with yourself to the airport may cost you money, but emotional baggage stands to cost you much, much more. It can affect your relationships, your opportunities, your peace, your ability to make rational decisions & most importantly, it can cost you, your happiness. ❤️ Heavy emotional luggage consumes too much of us & serves no purpose. It’s nothing more than psychological dead weight. Discard baggage of the negative emotions. Take a chance on yourself even when you’ve failed in the past. Forget how much it hurt & try again. Abandon your extra baggage before it costs you something you can’t replace. Don’t place too much weight on things that bring no value to your journey. ❤️ Travel light & live simple & in the process, life will become an easier, more exciting & definitely more interesting journey! Travel light! Take only what you need: a loving family, good friends, simple pleasures, someone to love & someone to love you & the essentials. Shake off the burdens of stress, worry & regret. Taking everything too seriously will bring only stress & pessimism, which does little to enhance life. So, break the cycle. Heal yourself. As the dust settles on your World Youth Day trip and you return to everyday life, it is important to keep the memory of your experiences alive and reencounter the sacred however possible. Using our senses to relive the most memorable moments of pilgrimage can renew the zeal gained from our travels. Consider the sights and sounds of your journey. What are some sights that left an impression on you? Was it a sunset, a hike, or maybe just an expression on a fellow pilgrim’s face? What sounds characterized your journey? What voices or accents, chants or songs, were impactful and have stuck with you? Smell and taste can have transportive power. What smells do you remember? Was there a smell of an old, strange or exotic place that stuck with you? Or does the smell of incense or candles take you back to your trip? What was the food like? Did you experience a meaningful conversation or human encounter during a meal? Finally, what did your hands and feet feel along the way? What did these feelings teach you about sacred and spiritual things? Reliving and reencountering our experiences as often as possible stirs our hearts. When our hearts are stirred, we are called to action. The movements that occurred within us, however small, are a summons to live differently when we return.
