Dear Colleagues, A recent publication in the American Journal of Case Reports sheds light on a rare but significant complication of coracoid process fractures combined with distal clavicle fractures. The study highlights the potential for symptomatic nonunion despite osteosynthesis treatment. Postoperative CT evaluation is crucial to prevent nonunion, and early removal of the suture button is recommended when a delayed bone union is observed. This valuable insight emphasizes the importance of careful evaluation and individualized treatment strategies in such cases.
