The future of cataract surgery! With this Miloop and Micor technology there is much less energy (approximately 1000x less than traditional phaco) inside the eye, clearer corneas, potentially shorter surgical time. Potentially less expensive for resource limited nations without the expensive need for a phacoemulsification machine. Great for soft early large cataracts (usually greater than 4.1mm) that are often a part of early glaucoma patients causing narrowing of Schlemm's canal and rubbing against the posterior iris leading to increased pigment deposition into the trabecular meshwork.
