🎒✨ Back-to-School Magic for Parents! ✨🎒 Struggling with getting your little one back to school? Here's a magical tip that worked wonders for my daughter! 🌟✨ 🔹 One Hour Before School 🕐 Grab some colors and paper and sit down with your child. 🎨🖍️ Ask them to draw their feelings about going to school. 🏫😟 If they refuse, no worries – you can draw instead! 🖼️ 🔹 Draw and Express ✍️ Draw a school, teachers, the main gate, or classrooms. 🏫 Take a black color and put a cross or scribble over the school. ✖️🖤 Say, "I see how much you don't like going to school, so I'm just putting a cross over it." 🖍️ Ask, "Would you like to draw as well?" 🖌️ Let your child express their feelings through drawing, and watch the magic unfold! 🎨✨ Share in the comments below if you found this tip useful. 👇 💡 You can discover many more effective communication tools for your kids in our upcoming live online workshop: "How to Talk So Kids Will Listen" by Adele Faber & Elaine Mazlish. 💬 📩 Want more details? Hey everyone, I wanted to share a story about one of my students, arnav. He's in 9th grade and has Asperger's Syndrome. he’s very smart but also a master of making excuses for difficult tasks! We did our classes online, which was challenging cuz he switched off the camera and stayed quiet I had to call him again and again then he switched on the camera 😅. Here's what worked for us: ~ Getting to Know Him: We talked about his favorite games and books. It helped us connect. ~ Flexible Routine: We kept a routine but stayed flexible. This made him feel more comfortable. ~ Traditional Methods: Sometimes, going old-school works best. I often started by explaining concepts on paper, like the image shows, before moving to digital tools. This step-by-step approach helped him understand better. ~ Using Visuals: Tools like Canva and online whiteboards were great. They kept him interested. ~ Positive reinforcement: Celebrating small wins kept him motivated. Over time, Arjun started making fewer excuses and really got into the lessons. it was amazing to see his progress! If you work in special education or therapy, what tips do you have to keep students engaged? Let’s share and help each other out!

🌟 Boost Your Child's Reading Skills Through Play This Summer! 📚🎉 Summer is here, and it's the perfect time to combine fun and learning! Did you know that play can significantly advance children's reading skills? When kids engage in playful activities, they develop language, comprehension, and critical thinking abilities. Here's how you can incorporate play and reading into your summer plans: 📖 Storytime Adventures: Turn storytime into a fun adventure. Act out stories, use different voices, and encourage your child to join in. This makes reading more engaging and helps with comprehension. 🌳 Outdoor Reading Nooks: Create a cozy reading spot in your backyard or at the park. Let your child choose books and have a picnic-style reading session. Fresh air and a new environment make reading exciting! 🎭 Pretend Play: Encourage your child to create their own stories during pretend play. Provide costumes, props, and a "stage" area. This stimulates imagination and narrative skills. 🧩 Educational Games: Incorporate word games and puzzles into your playtime. Games like Scrabble, Boggle, or even a simple game of charades with book characters can be both fun and educational. ✏️ Creative Writing: Have your child write their own stories or comics. Provide them with colorful markers, paper, and stickers. This enhances writing skills and creativity. 🚀 Library Adventures: Visit your local library for story hours, book clubs, and reading challenges. Libraries often have summer programs designed to keep kids engaged and excited about reading. Remember, the goal is to make reading a joyful and integral part of your child's summer activities. By combining play with learning, you’re setting the foundation for lifelong reading habits and academic success. Happy reading and playing! 🌞📚❤️ For more on this topic check out the blog on my website: https://lnkd.in/gUYbDYTD #SummerReading #KidsPlay #LearningThroughPlay #ParentingTips #ChildDevelopment #ReadingIsFun #FamilyTime
