The 17th World Chinese Economic Conference (WCEC), organised by the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM) and supported by MyCEB, was a resounding success, held from 9-11 Sept 2024, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. The event attracted over 3,500 delegates, including 2,450 international participants, and generated an impressive RM 41 million in economic impact for Malaysia. Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Bin Ibrahim, who launched the conference, emphasised Malaysia’s interest to learn from China to strengthen its investment environment and improve policies. He praised the robust Malaysia-China relationship, noting China’s pivotal role as Malaysia’s largest trading partner and a major foreign investor.
