We asked our network about issues they were facing when bringing new talent into their organisations. A whopping 45% said budgets was the main obstacle which I guess won't surprise many people. Having worked on many transformation projects and seen some of the stats for what percentage of projects don't succeed or simply take longer, it is fairly clear why budgets are put under such stress. Having the right people and, indeed, the best people you can afford, will go a long way to mitigating this, not least because they will help spot early the challenges that may blow a project off course. Of course working out who is the best person requires a proven and robust recruitment process, something we have been delivering for almost 20 years.
