🌟 Celebrating a Brighter Future: Olifantsfontein Primary School's MyLife MoneyTime Financial Literacy Awards Ceremony 🌟 On Wednesday, November 6th, 2024, the halls of Olifantsfontein Primary School were filled with joy, excitement, and a deep sense of achievement as we celebrated the success of our Grade 7 students in completing the MoneyTime Project. It was a day of pride not only for the learners but for everyone who believes in the transformative power of financial literacy. MoneyTime is an award-winning online financial literacy program designed for children aged 10-14, and tailored to the South African context by MyLife Group Holdings. This program empowers children with the tools they need to manage money, make informed financial decisions, and build a secure future. Many young adults finish school without the essential skills to manage their finances effectively. Without these skills, they often fall into cycles of financial hardship, struggling to survive rather than thrive. This is why financial literacy is not just a lesson—it's a lifeline. MoneyTime Kids SA is here to change that narrative. Over a 15-week period, 242 Grade 7 learners at Olifantsfontein Primary School have gained invaluable skills that will serve them for the rest of their lives. From budgeting to setting financial goals, these students have learned how to make choices that will shape their futures. Together with the South African Insurance Association (SAIA), we are proud to have implemented MoneyTime as part of the SAIA Consumer Education Programme, giving these learners a brighter, more informed future. The Financial Literacy Awards Ceremony was a celebration of their hard work, dedication, and the remarkable knowledge they’ve gained. These young learners are the change-makers of tomorrow, equipped with the skills they need to thrive in the world of finance. Their journey to financial empowerment has just begun. We see immense potential in rolling out MoneyTime to more schools across South Africa. By equipping our children with financial knowledge, we are giving them the power to break the cycle of poverty and build a more prosperous future.
