The BrightHorizons Annual Modern Families Index is a great resource for data on what employees want from their employer when it comes to support for caring responsibilities. This year 🐶 Pet care features 😸 : Of those who work flexibly, around 1 in 8 (12%) work flexibly to meet pet care requirements. This is over 1 in 7 (15%) in the under 35s. According to the PDSA, 53% of UK adults own a pet. Among these owners, 4.1 million dogs and 3.7 million cats have been acquired since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020. It’s important to note that these challenges can vary depending on individual circumstances and the support systems available to dads, such as workplace flexibility, social support systems available to dads, and involvement from co-parents or extended family members. #superdadmentality #SuperDadMentality #dadstuff #dadbloggers

Interesting piece, data doesn't lie: CNN/Moodys: "The national office vacancy rate rose to a record-breaking 19.6% in the fourth quarter of 2023, Moody’s Analytics said. That’s the largest quarterly increase since the first quarter of 2021, and larger than the 19.3% level reached twice in 40 years." https://lnkd.in/gKdf4m3v #remotework #wha #workfromhotels #community #www.nohq.co.uk #www.andco.life #coworking #coworkingcommunity #coworkingspace #sharedoffice #officeshare #futureofwork #futureofworkplace #occupancy #rto #workplacestrategy

“Where did all the workers go? About the 2030 team member” - an incredibly informative closing keynote for day one of #AHRINCE24 from Bernard Salt AM. Some of his key points were around: - we have falling #fertility, but we do also also leverage immigration at scale - However we are not introducing as many new workers into the workforce as are retiring out (we are in the #babybust, and it will drive automation and #mechanisation) - the relentless obsession and pursuit of #lifestyle is shown in data for the for the Australian population - almost 30% of the Australian population was born overseas - this is almost double most other countries - the impact of one of the three population peaks (currently ~35yo) as they plan their #foreverhomes while seeking to maintain their lifestyle preferences - just how profound the demand for #agedcare workers will be in about six years - the more #educated you are, the more you will earn - the data demonstrates men are still struggling talking about #mentalhealth - to succeed in the future, we will be best set up if we have the right technical #skills and training, the right personal #qualities, and be in the right stage, and - how seen we all felt, regardless of our #generation
