💡We’re proud to announce the launch of our project to strengthen integrated water management in the Sunderbans, alongside partners Water For People and Rajarhat PRASARI. 💧The Sunderbans is home to the largest mangrove forest in the world, formed within the expansive Ganges Delta. Confronting challenges related to water security and climate fragility, the region represents a vulnerable ecosystem. 🌏 In collaboration with the Oak Foundation, the project adopts a participatory groundwater management approach to empower local leaders, including women and community institutions, to act as para-hydrogeologists. Through integrated surface and groundwater dynamics, water budgeting, and scenario planning, we are working towards building climate resilience in the region. Akvo is the design, data, and tech partner, helping build the foundation of the project, monitor results, and enhance data-driven decision making. Keep your eyes peeled for updates! #Sunderbans #WaterSecurity #ClimateAction

Utah and Nevada folks: I'm looking to expand my network to your region! If you're passionate about agriculture + private lands conservation, let's chat! Who are the "key players" in your area? Which ag groups and organizations are the primary stakeholders? My work involves: * Building partnerships and collaborating on a wide range of working lands issues. * Facilitating conversations between stakeholder groups in relation to private lands management, conservation, sustainable agriculture practices, and technical assistance delivery. * Providing landowners and other producers with resources to better support their operations. * Keeping working lands in the Western U.S. whole and healthy.

1moWould just like to let someone know I was on the Malden River kayaking yesterday and found a deceased adult swan just upstream from the canoe kayak launch at the river Green Park in Everett very sad poor thing it's floating in the lily pads right off the shore about 50 ft made me quite sad to see... I'm just wondering if anybody knows who studies these things or if they do would like to know what happened to the poor thing may have got hit by a boat or ate something bad not sure but just wanted to pass along I saw two other pairs upstream but I didn't see any solitary adults that may have been a partner anyway if anybody knows please let someone know who can use this information thank you keep up the great work
