Respect Candidates' Time: A Message to Hiring Managers As recruitment professionals, let's prioritize transparency and empathy in your hiring processes. Candidates invest significant time, energy, and hope in their assessment and interview processes. It's frustrating and demotivating when, after multiple rounds, they're told: "We need more skills." "It's not the right fit." "We're looking for someone with expertise in another domain." This isn't just a waste of their time; it's also a blow to their confidence. Before taking candidates through extensive evaluations, ensure you: Clearly define the job requirements. Share accurate job descriptions. Communicate essential skills and qualifications. Remember, candidates are not just applicants; they're individuals striving for opportunities. Let's work together to make recruitment more human-centric. #RespectCandidatesTime #TransparencyInHiring #EmpathyInRecruitment #CandidateExperience #RecruitmentBestPractices #HiringManagers #Recruiters

Recruitment is an assumption game. 🤷♀️ 👉 You can put numerous stages and SMEs in the process to assess candidates. 👉 Run case studies, personality or IQ tests, whatever you can imagine. 👉 Check 50 references. Still... you can agree on the fit only with a certain level of probability. That's why I believe 2 things are the most important here 1️⃣ Well-crafted recruitment process! Who checks what on which stage to cover all the most important aspects and final debrief, opening floor to all engaged to discuss and collide different views. The better we design it the lower the risk of mismatch and the higher the probability of a good quality hire. 2️⃣ Leaving room for uncertainty and preparing for further evaluation in the role. Until the individual steps into the role, challenges, and also working environment (all these impact each other), we won't know for sure about them succeeding. What are your best practices to increase the chances of landing a high quality hire❓ #recrutiment #hiring #interviewprocess #candidate #assesment #talentacquisition #bestpractices

Dear Hiring Managers, HR, and Employers. If this is your talent acquisition process, you need help. The good news is, it doesn’t have to be this way. We recently closed out a mid / senior level search and the total process took less than three weeks. Offer letter signed. The candidate starts next week. This included my initial discussion with four solid candidates, multiple follow up calls and feedback with the employer’s preferred candidate, two VP level interviews, and an onsite everyone considered the final interview. The secret – a great employer and hiring company. Their leaders were accessible, they moved quickly and efficiently, and met with candidates based on candidate availability. They had clear expectations on their process, their comp was market relevant, the JD was tight, and they were open to meeting with broad profiles. And they trusted a recruiter to find them people. Good people. Are you committed to hiring new employees and engaging great candidates? It really isn’t complicated.
