We had some exciting discussions about Nouns DAO at our last Organizational Structure meeting! 🙏 Many thanks to Nicolas Joël Greber and Nicolas Eschenbaum from Center for Cryptoeconomics for sharing their insights on how arbitrageurs can exploit forks within DAOs, and for proposing innovative solutions to tackle this challenge. Using the example of Nouns DAO, they demonstrated how a forking mechanism intended to decentralize and protect against majority attacks can unintentionally create arbitrage opportunities for speculators.Their presentation also explored governance mechanisms and highlighted the risks of giving DAO members indirect access to the treasury. 🎉Join us or attend our events! The second proposal for Propchain DAO has successfully closed with a significant number of votes! We thank all community members for their continuous dedication to improving Propchain and its vision. The second proposal [PCF-02] was a bigger success than the first, collectively voted on by the $PROPC community on Snapshot, accumulating more than 160K Voting Power. The unanimous result can be found in the link below: https://lnkd.in/dEbjRXD5 This proposal was ideated solely by the DAO community and successfully completed the entire governance cycle up until the voting was closed. The outcomes of this proposal will now initiate efforts to introduce the auto-investing feature on our property investment platform, Prop.com, in the upcoming quarters and will progress development as outlined in the proposal brief. We always encourage feedback from voters on both general and technical aspects of the voting system implemented in Propchain DAO. As we move forward, our goal remains to enhance the current mechanics to drive further clarity across proposals.
