Not long now! How’s your Supply Chain resilience at the momemenr? Costs up? Inventory challenges? Sustainability targets? People challenges? Andrea Murphy one liner below says it all The Richmond Logistics & Supply Chain Forum
'An investment in knowledge pays the best interest'. We are excited to announce the final speaker line-up and topics that we will be addressing at The Richmond Logistics & Supply Chain Forum (14th May at The Belfry Hotel & Resort). Benjamin Franklin, author of the quote above, would have been a great advocate for a Richmond Events Forum! Imagine the power of our speakers' minds combined with the lived experience of our delegates and the know-how of our suppliers. The mutual benefits are unmatched. With just a handful of spaces available for supply chain decision-makers (sorry, all supplier places have been snapped up), our doors close this week. Contact Max Vine here or at mvine@richmondevents.com if you'd like to be part of what promises to be the most exciting gathering of supply chain leaders this year. #supplychainlearning #logisticsexcellence #continuousdevelopment

The Richmond Logistics & Supply Chain Forum is always a fascinating event, and I have loved attending it as a delegate over the years. This year, I am super excited to support PCM Associates Ltd running a session on Agile Timeboxing or what I like to call ' How to get Sh*t Done', with my partner in crime Jay Patel before I move into my new job next month. If you are attending the event - come say hi! #timeboxing #agile #howtogetstuffdone #supplychain #agileworking

Navigating the Labor Crisis in Hospitality: Insights and Strategies At Eversys, we're committed not only to innovation in coffee technology but also to supporting our partners through industry-wide challenges. A critical issue surfaced during the SCA Coffee Expo’s Retail Buyers Session: the severe labor crisis impacting hospitality. Key Takeaways: Staffing Shortages: 62% of hospitality operators are unable to meet staffing needs, with 80% finding it difficult to fill open positions. The hiring cost per hourly employee averages at $1,500. High Turnover: Notably, 25% of baristas leave within their first three months, with replacement costs ranging from $3,000 to $5,000. Driving Factors: Employees cite insufficient pay, inadequate recognition, and poor managerial relationships as primary reasons for leaving. Strategic Responses: Enhance Flexibility: Align work schedules with personal needs and offer benefits that employees value. Strengthen Leadership: Develop leaders who are proactive, engaging, and exemplify the company’s values. As industry leaders, it's our responsibility to discuss, share, and implement practices that can alleviate these issues. Let's use our platform to foster a dialogue on creating more sustainable and fulfilling work environments. #Eversys #FutureOfWork #HospitalityManagement #Leadership

USCS Quakertown West earns "The Johnsonville Way" Award. Johnsonville LLC, a leading sausage company both domestically and abroad, has many fascinating pivotal moments in its 79-year history. One of them came in the mid-1980s when owner Ralph C. Stayer dramatically reorganized the company (founded by his parents) and embraced employees as "members." He also created "The Johnsonville Way" to define the organization's culture going forward. Today, the company extends The Johnsonville Way to recognize and acknowledge those suppliers who excel and support the company— just as if they were part of Johnsonville itself. Recently, USCS Quakertown, PA, West earned one of the meat processor's coveted Johnsonville Way Awards for supply chain excellence.
