With plans to serve 13 million meals over the course of the athletic festival, they seem to be more than prepared. In celebration of the largest event catering operation in the world, we bring you some fun food facts: 1. 600-800 baguettes will be baked each day for athletes 2. For the athletes, 40 meals options will be on offer every day 3. 200 chefs will be working at the Olympic and Paralympic Village each day 4. 100% of the French regions will be represented through the dishes cooked 5. Almost 20 million cold drinks will be consumed What events will you be watching? (make sure to look out for one of the many bottles of water sold!) Will anyone have the chance to eat one of those 13 million meals?
