Data tells a Story. During this past Fiscal Year (July 2023-Present), my team at HOPICS has served 12,500 people experiencing homelessness. That's more than the total homeless populations of the following American cities--cities that ranked 4th-10th in the Nation for homelessness in 2023: San Diego City and County | 10,264 Metropolitan Denver | 10,054 San Jose / Santa Clara City | 9,903 Oakland / Berkeley | 9,759 Phoenix / Mesa / Maricopa County | 9,642 Sacramento | 9,281 San Francisco | 7,582 This data underscores two realities: -The absolute crisis of Homelessness in LA. -The unwavering resilience of the people who work in this field.
