When it comes to Ramadan month, I immediately recollect Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The city is covered with full of sand and palm trees. Not only KSA, but even Oman, Qatar, and UAE all have deserts, oil fields, and Mountains. On a work visit, for a leading retail giant of KSA. I visited the Dairy plant, Bakery, and poultry division. At one point in time, people living in the Middle East were not getting fresh dairy products for consumption. A Saudi king wanted to set up a dairy plant in their home country after several trials. He successfully built a large-scale dairy farm with more than 20K cows producing fresh milk and every day nearly 8000 trucks supply this milk to the GCC countries and supply fresh juices, and bakery products for the entire Middle East. When I visited the plant generally the summers would easily touch 50 degrees. But there the temperatures can be adjusted to 23 degrees. They have built huge farms in South America producing fodder and grass. These will be supplied to these dairy plants and excellently they were maintaining the dairy farms. If a man has a vision, he can build even desert into paradise. By the way, they have set up a Dairy Polytechnic and they were training their local youths.
Key Learnings
Never give up: People often say you will fail, you will not succeed. First, analyze the challenge find out your strengths, and work on your areas of improvement. Ultimately don’t give up your trials.
Vision: No one would have thought of having a dairy farm in a desert, but the king was very clear in his vision and set up his dream vision.
Patience: Initially there were a lot of struggles it happens to everyone even when an aircraft takes off in the air with full thrust and against gravity and air turbulence. It must set sail and fly smoothly so that it can reach its destination.
