I like to invite our students and their families to share words of importance to them with me so that I can incorporate their language in my communication with them. Additionally, I am sure to include multicultural books and invite my families to share their holidays and traditions with us throughout the year.

3moI like incorporating multilingual books, songs, and music into the classroom environment. Additionally, I celebrate each child's language during circle time and other group activities. Recognizing the diversity of our community is important because it supports children in fostering cultural identity and self-esteem. It also promotes cognitive and linguistic development.
