Unpopular Opinion: Your new executive hire will never increase their pace as time passes; if you are lucky, they will stay at the same pace. If you are a startup CEO hiring for an essential top-level executive go-to-market position that has to succeed, never hire the person saying, "It will take time to make and see a change"—that is only code for "I am not going to be extremely impactful." The best people will create an impact fast, and you will be able to point at them as the turning point for positive things. They will hire the best talent under them in no time, and they will make swift changes that make sense for everyone, they will lean on data, and they will bring ideas to life/execute on things based on their track record of experience and knowledge from the past. Who disagrees?
