💙 The Genedrive System is a molecular diagnostic device designed for use at the #pointofcare. Its compact benchtop design empowers clinicians to perform diagnostic tests at the point of care, providing results in a clinically relevant timeframe. 👂 Just one use of the Genedrive System is point of care testing for a genetic variant of the MT-RNR1 gene, which predisposes individuals to a high risk of #hearingloss when treated with aminoglycoside antibiotics. 📽 Watch the ITV News report: https://lnkd.in/eHUDKvBx #GDR #Diagnostics #Pharmacogenetics #PGxMovement #Pharmacogenomics #POCT #Genetics #MedTech #HealthTech

We are pleased to announce that Genetic Technologies is starting testing operations in the United States for the revolutionary geneType™ genetic risk assessment product series. GeneType’s multi-patented, clinically validated tests will now be performed by Gene by Gene, a premier specialty genetic laboratory based in Houston, Texas. Gene by Gene is a state-of-the-art, highly accredited laboratory (CLIA, CAP, AABB and CDPH licensed). Gene by Gene’s ability to process up to 25,000 tests per month greatly increases geneType’s operational capacity in North America. The lab’s location in the central United States will also shorten the turn-around time for samples sent in from North America. Together with the company’s recent distribution agreement with health and wellness technology leader Stay Healthy, Inc. (“Stayhealthy”), geneType is poised for exponential growth across North America. Doctoral Candidate exploring innovative DNA-based platforms for Healthcare | Diagnostics, Bioengineering, Nanotechnology
Maybe a little late. But yeah, so so happy that the preprint is out. DNA has been used outside of the genetic context. It has really exciting properties making it a great engineering material. DNA-based "reactions offer a programmable method to detect diseases. The programming however has been challenging. What does this work mean? We have simplified the "programming" aspect. An assay for a new disease, new target could be developed by simply exchanging domains. What has otherwise been a master's or PhD thesis could be achieved by a simple swap. Plug-and-play. The performance remains the same. How did it happen? Some DNA magic. Hidden in the paper. Please do give it a read, and let me know for more discussions, debates, anything.
Happy to share our preprint describing a new synthetic gene switch for in-vitro detection of #DNA and #RNA. Congrats to Krishna Gupta who is the first author of this insightful work! #nanotechnology #synbio #PoC #diagnostics https://lnkd.in/gdhQpuku

What do you think? In gene function research, adding foreign genes to target cells is like giving them a new set of instructions to follow 🧬, helping us observe fascinating phenotypic changes 🔍. Stable cell lines are the unsung heroes here, ensuring those genes stick around and keep expressing for the long haul 💪. Whether it’s advancing biomedical breakthroughs 🧑🔬, driving biopharma innovations 💉, or even transforming agriculture 🌱, stable cell lines are the reliable backbone across many fields. https://lnkd.in/guuGhzh4 #GeneEditing #CRISPR #Knock_In #KnockOut #PointMutation #Overexpression #CellLineDevelopment #GeneticResearch #PrecisionMedicine #BiotechInnovation #CustomCellLines #MolecularBiology #ResearchTools #Genomics #EDITGENE #CrisprLibraryScreening
