You Know You're a Restaurant Person When: You help pre-bus the table. Pre-bussing the table—clearing it as diners finish their meal—is one of my must-haves for full service. But it’s also something I do myself, to help the wait staff and clear space on the table. I am seeing more and more restaurants losing the basics when it comes to giving great service Greet times are way too long. Servers are lacking menu knowledge. Suggestive selling is non existant. These issues can be easily remedied with steps of service and menu descriptions. We need todo a better job of setting our teams up for success. Systems like these benefit guests, servers pocketbooks and the restaurant’s bottom line. It’s time to get back to basics. #restaurant #training
