Over the past decade, Cillian has become an invaluable part of our team, contributing to our continued growth and success. His deep knowledge of the industry, combined with his passion for understanding and addressing client needs have been integral to building long-term relationships with our valued clients. As Head of Business Development, Cillian will lead our efforts to strengthen client relationships and explore new R&D opportunities to grow our product range in line with our capabilities as we continue to expand into new markets. We’re excited to see the energy and focus he’ll bring to this role! Manufacturing in Australia isn’t easy across many sectors, especially so across energy and resources where there is no margin for error. Our clients not only demand products that are delivered in a timely fashion but also demand innovations, cost efficiencies, and ongoing maintenance and technical support. It took me a little longer to reflect and share because so much has been happening - a new role, a workshop in London with a new team, plans for Q4, new clients, and of course, juggling all this as a mom of two girls. 💪 When my colleague asked why I’ve stayed with the same company for so long, it made me pause and reflect on the journey. The truth is, it hasn’t always been easy. But as I look back, I see a journey marked by growth, resilience, and, most importantly, belief. ✨ Belief that I could—even when others doubted. ✨ Belief that I deserved a seat at the table—even when the room was full. This decision didn’t come overnight. It’s the result of six months of deep reflection, not just about where the business is headed, but about my own journey. For years, I’d envisioned myself in this CEO role, believing that title was the ultimate achievement. But getting here and really living it, I’ve realized it’s not the end-all and actually not what is best for me, nor the business. This role requires a unique mix of skills, many of which I’m still developing. I've been so proud of the highs and the growth we've achieved, yet it's been the challenges and the soul-searching moments that taught me the most. When we began this search, I knew we needed someone who could bring people right to the heart of our business– to see us not as another transactional recruitment agency but as a true partner in retail and the value of its people. Retail is everything to us, and we’re committed to elevating the entire experience. I met some outstanding people along the way, yet there was always something missing. Then, I reconnected with Justin. Justin's remarkable career speaks for itself, but his impact on my own journey has been transformational. His people-first leadership style shaped my career in ways I’m incredibly grateful for, showing me that successful businesses are built by putting people at the centre of everything.
