Woke up with a 100,000 Dollar victory! 🎉 As the results keep pouring in each day, this marked a significant victory as we received an offer from a QS Quacquarelli Symonds Top 20 Global University, with a whopping 100,000 CAD President's Scholarship Award. University of Toronto is an aspirational school without a doubt, and this achievement has certainly put the biggest smile on each one's face today. Be it Hansika's school teachers, mentors, Mom and Dad, and everyone around. I recall when we had begun the application process, and the uncertainty of affordability bothered a lot of us. ✅ But here is what seems to have worked for Hansika - 1. Authenticity in the story/narrative 2. Consistency throughout high school, be it curriculars or activities 3. Good grades (much needed for a Merit Scholarship) 4. Pure passion to go to a Top School 5. Hard Work (no substitute to this) More scholarship posts to follow soon, and for those wondering if we are good enough to secure one or not, I'd just say it often only needs the right guidance to connect the dots, and share your story. If you are looking for more scholarship stories, and want to be part of one, it's all a message away! #scholarship #collegeadmissions #toronto #success #achievement LinkedIn LinkedIn Guide to Creating

"I WANT TO WIN THE FIELD'S MEDAL" Seven years ago, a 14-year-old kid with an overwhelming passion for Math answered this when asked by his teacher about his ambition. The auto-didact kid was, at that age, well-versed in Trigonometry and Calculus and had mastered high school algebra. Whenever he had time, he would open up the "Seven Millenium Prize Problems" and simply stare at them as he wasn't mature enough to even think about solving them, and just reading the problem itself gave him joy! He had only one aim - solving any of these (Riemann's Hypothesis in particular). Fast forward to today, his dream is somewhat alive (not difficult to guess why it didn't cultivate over time). He couldn't take up his "dear favourite subject" (although he could've easily) but still made it to a fine institution; what is your advice to him - think it was "Childhood Josh", forget it and focus on his placements or try to be the "First Indian to win the Field's Medal"? #dream #passion #growth

Founder at XYO Maths Center I Nurturing Maths Genius using Technology, Pedagogy and Art I 3000+ Successful Students.
A unique and innovative Olympiad, entirely crafted by our talented students. This math quiz is special because every question has been formulated by the students themselves. As their educators, we decided to take the test run, and the results were truly eye-opening. 1. Only one teacher managed to get all the answers correct. 2. We teachers had to discuss and deliberate over 30% of the questions. 3. If students are asked to create an exam paper, it would be much more challenging than what teachers can typically create. This exercise provided an incredible learning experience for our students. By putting on the teacher's hat, they gained a deeper understanding of how questions are created and what makes them challenging and thought-provoking. For our students aiming to excel in competitive exams, this shift in perspective is invaluable. It's not just about solving problems but understanding what the examiner is trying to assess. This Olympiad has been a fantastic opportunity for our students to transition from being mere solvers to insightful creators, and we couldn’t be prouder of their achievements. We’ve always believed in our students' potential, but seeing them step up to this challenge and excel has been incredibly rewarding. Their creativity, critical thinking, and collaborative spirit were on full display, and it’s clear that the future of mathematics competitions is bright in their hands. Join us in celebrating this milestone and encouraging a new approach to learning and competition. Here’s to our brilliant students and their journey from learners to leaders! #olympiad #maths #myxyo

Top schools aim for global stages, not just local competitions. While initiatives like Cowbellpedia are great, elite schools focus on international challenges that offer world-class opportunities. These students compete in Math Olympiads, Science Olympiads, COBIS Awards, and more. These contests often lead to international scholarships or multi-country travel experiences. It’s not about snubbing local competitions; it’s about preparing students for a global future. Let’s appreciate all educational paths without comparison. Each has its own merits and goals. #parents #parentslife #school #education #educational #educationmatters #teachers #teachersupportteachers #teachersforteachers #teachershelpteachers #teachersinspireteachers #learning #learninganddevelopment #educationfirst #educationispower #parentsupport
