Patience is the key to happiness and success
This is true to some extent. An extreme other side to stretching this too far is adopted when people around you want one to move at the pace of their preferred playbook. Then one's reasonable efforts at moving at a reasonable pace as s/he reasonably rationally deems fit - not as some people around him who seek to hijack the control of his/her life to have their preferred yardstick of values measurement (such as of patience, etc.) determine - gets inappropriately knocked as being a case of impatience. Some superiors (manipulatively wielding their privileged lofty authority & elevated position cum towering influence) & peers especially, & some other categories of persons who seek to shift from the suggestive advisory position to an autocratic control influence of a person's aspirations & progressive life outcomes have perfected the mastery of effective covert manipulative use of this other side. Their preferred perspectives they seek to forcefully enforce & the actual person's reasonably rational perspective may only be uncovered by a discerning investigator. postcolonial nations' measure of self-determined development came as a result of the efforts of visionary active leaders not by preferred superior colonialist dictates.

9moEverything about us was written before time called fate. Sad, at its writing, there was no clock or calender; that's why our forebears taught us to wait for the infinite: the right time. Worst, whatever you wish for may or may not come in your lifetime because it is meant for the right time in your next life either in paradise, in hell, or in heaven. Hey, why there was no clock or calender yet when everyone's fate was written at time's beginning? :)
