According to McKinsey, companies in the top quartile for gender diversity are 25% more likely to have above-average profitability (McKinsey & Company, 2020). Glassdoor says 76% of job seekers consider workplace diversity an important factor when evaluating companies and job offers. Lean In Women in the Workplace Report states that only 23% of C-Suites are made up of women. You get the idea. Inclusion and Inclusive Leadership, at this point, is a business imperative. Diversity & Inclusion Manager | Making our diverse world more inclusive, with an MBA and +14 years of international experience in Human Resources • Join my +21K network and my journey to promote DE&I.
Good morning! Did you know that diversity In leadership increases chances of success by 39%? Well, now you know! A new McKinsey & Company research reconfirms the strong business case for Diversity & Inclusion. This means that companies lacking diverse representation are likely to be 30% lower in their performance versus their industry peers. Then, you might be asking yourself why companies are holding back? In most companies, C-suites are composed of straight cis gender males with a lack of understanding of diversity and inclusion issues due to their own limited lived experiences. And forget about real accountability if there aren't clear goals, transparency and consequences. Unfortunately, we can't change centuries of inequality suddenly. Inequality is rooted in our systems, policies, structures, minds, cultures. Transformational change is a marathon, not a sprint. Therefore, if we want to change the representation in leadership, we need a long-term focus with a plan, clear goals and objectives to measure success. Click here, read this Forbes article and learn more. Have a nice day! #Diversity #Inclusion #Leadership #DiversityInLeadership

Helping Women of Culture™ and leaders of Women of Culture™ harness their unique perspectives and create a more sustainable organization I Speaker, trainer and facilitator
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘀 When we talk about diversity in leadership, one glaring truth remains 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱. Here are some eye-opening statistics: 𝗢𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝟰% of executive roles in the S&P 500 are held by Asian women (2023, LeanIn and McKinsey & Company). 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝟲𝟱% of Asian women report feeling they need to outperform their peers to gain recognition (2023, Women in the Workplace report). 𝗢𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝟭 𝗶𝗻 𝟭𝟬 Asian women say they have a sponsor in their professional journey (2022, Catalyst). These numbers aren't just statistics—they're a call to action. 𝗦𝗼, 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗗𝗼? 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽: Having a senior leader with clout proactively sponsor women of culture, as it creates opportunities for the woman of culture, the leader and the organization. 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲: Advocate for and implement policies that support the removal of barriers such as hiring for potential as much as for past experiences. 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Commit to listening and understanding the unique limitations faced by women of culture, as only then can new thinking/action emerge. Let’s turn these numbers around. Together, we can build a future where leadership is as diverse as the world we live in. #Leadership #Diversity #WomenInLeadership #Inclusion #AsianWomen #Mentorship #ChangeMakers

In the dynamic world of leadership and organizational development, embracing diversity is not just a moral imperative but a strategic advantage. 🌟 This Women's History Month, let's spotlight the transformative impact of gender and cognitive diversity on fostering innovation and driving success. Cognitive diversity, the blend of varied problem-solving approaches and perspectives, is significantly enriched by gender diversity. When we integrate diverse genders into our teams and leadership circles, we're not merely enhancing representation; we're broadening our collective cognitive horizon, leading to more comprehensive and innovative solutions. Studies have consistently demonstrated that gender-diverse teams are more creative, diligent, and ultimately, more successful. 🚀 In my journey as a leadership coach, I've observed that the most resilient and adaptive teams are those that cherish and capitalize on the diverse insights and experiences of their members. A practical tip for leaders looking to leverage this diversity is to cultivate an environment of psychological safety where every team member feels valued and heard. Try facilitating 'idea incubator' sessions where diverse viewpoints are encouraged, and every suggestion is explored for its unique value. As we reflect on the importance of gender diversity this month, let's also commit to actionable steps towards nurturing an inclusive culture in our organizations. What initiatives have you found to be most effective in promoting diversity and inclusion within your teams? #LeadershipDiversity #GenderInclusion #InnovateTogether #WomensHistoryMonth
