🚲 Case Study: Navigating Speedy Success in Bike-Sharing 📈 I am excited to share the insights from my recent case study on bike-sharing dynamics. In this study, I explored strategies to convert casual riders to annual members, crucial for Cyclistic's, a fictional bike-share company in Chicago, future growth. Cyclistic launched a successful bike-share offering in 2016, growing to a fleet of 5,824 bicycles across 692 stations in Chicago. The bikes are geotracked and can be unlocked from one station and returned to any other station in the system anytime. 🔍 Role and Objective: As a junior data analyst at Cyclistic, my role was to analyze historical trip data to understand the usage patterns of casual riders and annual members. The goal was to design a data-driven marketing strategy to convert casual riders into annual members. (PS: This is the largest dataset I've worked with) 🤝 Stakeholders: The stakeholders for this project included the marketing team at Cyclistic. 📩 Feedback Welcome: I welcome your thoughts and feedback on my analysis. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or suggestions.

No one ever sets out to work in #eDiscovery. Everyone just kind of falls into it somehow. Our market is reactive and highly stressful (really selling it), but once you find your space, and get into your groove, it can be pretty awesome, too. This week started out as one of those super stressful weeks. Whilst the gig itself is one thing, the people and clients you work with is a whole other beast, and I would argue that it’s the people that really set the tone of your day – they can make or break you. At Siera Data we are fortunate to work with some pretty incredible clients but this particular #feelgoodfriday goes out to our #UK client. We are gearing up for a very significant document review with #bigdata sets, four different time zones, and plenty of late-night video calls, which all mount to very long working days. However, when you work with clients that are genuinely interested in what you are doing, are happy to let you lead them and show them the way, will rely on your #experience and #expertise to help them, and are proactively trying to beat the day before production rush, you are seriously #blessed 🙏 #SieraData #climbingmountains #lucky #wildride #loveyourjob David Bowie Joanne Chua-Robertson

Only three days left for the #mavencoffeechallenge! I won't be joining this time, but I’ve got an idea that might help you stand out in the challenge. Start off by looking at/thinking about the potential customers first. If you've spent a few hours with the dataset, you'll find that it isn't varied enough for detailed statistical clustering. The people taking the survey are too similar in many aspects (due to the nature of how they were recruited for the survey). But not everything has to be a stringent statistical approach. I was planning to use Seinfeld characters as inspiration for customer groups. Sketch out 3-5 customer groups based on what you do know. Who are they? Maybe a Kramer (the adventurous experimentalist), or perhaps a George (the deal seeker)? Then it will be easier to look into their preferences and habits. Yesterday, Enrique Ruiz showed us how you can turn your data into something you can work with in just 20 minutes. Check it out here https://lnkd.in/eiu97vzi Good luck with your entry🚀 #dataanalyst #excel #seinfeld

I ran a data analysis yesterday to see what hours our customers get the most connects and here's what I found: - early birds always win - 9.00 - 10.00 a.m. seems to be the absolute worst hours to cold call - later pick up at around lunchtime and peaking at 4 pm What does this tell? The first to show up and the last to leave always wins. The data is from US calls only across multiple timezones (EST, CST, PST) If you want more breakdowns, (best times to call in PST, etc.) comment below. Make sure to follow me for sales data analysis. #sales #coldcalling

With the exception of Dog Names, it's difficult to remember names (and everything else). One useful tip that a friend of mine gave me is using an identifier with the name. For example: Jasmine, the Data Analyst who likes Pokemon. Adding something unique about that person will help remember names. Most of the time. 😅
