Join us in congratulating our November Employee Spotlight: Katie Gilstrap Job title: Software Developer How long have you been working with NASCENT?: My first day was February 28, 2022, so about 1.75 years! Favorite memory at NASCENT?: Being able to be involved with my first customer release of a full build at SecurSpace What does a typical day look like for you?: A typical day starts off with coffee, and delving into the changes/work I was doing the previous day. That's followed by a morning meeting where my team goes over the work done the previous day, and if there's any blockers. After that meeting we try to help each other out on any blockers we reported. Once I'm done with those two meetings, most days I spend the rest of the time researching any work I'm doing to solve new problems, or coding and debugging my work! Favorite part of the job?: Getting to be a part of such an amazing team and working on the future of our product! What is one piece of advice you would give to someone looking for a job at NASCENT? Be open to learning new things! You never know how much you will enjoy them!
