Very Random post after a very long break 🫶🏼
Ah, the gas station – a pit stop for both cars and contemplation right ?
Ever find yourself lost in thought while waiting in line? Here it goes
Thoughts I have while filling up my tank 😂
1. What if I absentmindedly drove off with the fuel nozzle still attached? A high-speed chase with the pump in tow – YRF Entertainment I’m your next action movie's stunt double 🤝🏼
2. As I inch closer to the curb, I can't help but imagine the sound of scraping metal. ADNOC Group please make wider space for my 4'11 self so I can see better.
3. The prospect of snacks makes the petrol pump store exciting, even if I have nothing on my list. I'm mentally calculating my ETAS at the Mart and back, because, let's be honest, who can resist the Almarai - المراعي Lusine croissant?
4. From the comfort of my car, I become a silent observer of the gas station world. It's a bustling microcosm of people and vehicles, each with their own story. Here's mine, noon please hire me as your food content writer <3
5. As I wait, my mind drifts to all the conversations that have happened in this very car. From heart-to-hearts with friends to business calls that sealed the deal, this seat has witnessed it all. Tagging Lexus UAE here because I think it’s the best car 😭
But before I drive off, I wonder – what's your go-to gas station ritual? Do you have any quirky thoughts or routines while waiting in line? Tell me in the comments below. ✨

As a Writer & Copyeditor:
I try to practise empathy and connection, to be in tune with my client. And I set this at the beginning of every editing project. This helps me connect with their voice and rhythm, while giving me the discipline to put their needs and preferences above mine. For example, I'm pro-British spellings. But if they'd rather use American spellings, then I edit (or write) with American spellings.
It also helps to keep a growing vocabulary. Every editor should have a vast word bank. To keep mine growing, I read a lot, paying attention to word usage, pronunciation, context, and suchlike.
As a Voiceover Artist...
I keep an active ear. I love movies, so when I hear a character I find interesting, I listen again to them. Behind movies, I listen to people—I admit to listening in on conversations, just to observe vocal changes. Then I try to practise them, so I can use them on demand.

One of my secrets for hosting high-profile events excellently is approaching every job as a unique one and an opportunity to raise the bar. Even if I have hosted events in a specific industry for the umpteenth time or worked with the client over and over again, I approach the job like a newbie: taking notes and learning during pre-event briefing and preparation stage.
Then I get on stage and deliver a magical event!
It’s your turn. Whisper 1 of your career secrets to us in the comment box.

Do not get me wrong, I still love Photoshop but...
Absolutely loving learning how to grade in Da Vinci Resolve. It's completely different but the same. Thank goodness for knowing curves and colour theory etc. Only shooting on iPhone at the moment which I still need to get hang of, it's all baby steps. I also trying to learn how to export my videos out with the correct colour space settings and what not. It's funny how it's so daunting and you feel so lost in the beginning, and then things become so familiar.
I have mad respect for content creators. It really takes a lot of time. From storyboarding to script writing to actually filming (which has been the most exhausting part for me) and then the editing (which has been the most fun for me - surprise surprise).
So many ideas, so little time. Unsure how people who still have jobs manage to keep a consistent upload schedule. I must say, this "spring" weather has been a challenge as well.
If any of you have some top tips for me with making content, please let me know. I am such a noob and really just trying to absorb as much information I can.
Here is a short I made with stuff I already had on m phone. As I said, addicted to editing/colour grading right now. It's not perfect but it is a start.
