What is actually a fair time horizon for real estate to do its thing, and how do we measure success in real estate? I measure success from real estate as doubling in value and how long that ultimately takes. Sources have come out recently suggesting that 15 years is how long it will take on average to double. If real estate takes 15 years to double its growth around a 5% p.a. growth rate. If the cycle for a piece of real estate is 15 years, that's a good base point to have a conversation.
