This is your weekly reminder that my team and I use AI to solve critical business problems in the UAE (like you see in this email), in the UK (where we've empowered businesses with AI-generated websites), in the US (with state-of-the-art AI education and training), in Egypt (with AI model consulting), and with enrollments from professionals in India, Norway, and Lebanon. We are on a mission not only to televise the AI revolution like we do every Tuesday with the show "AI in Business Conversations" (on LinkedIn Audio), but we are also actively involved in empowering the global workforce to transition smoothly into the age of intelligent machines. If you didn't already know, in the last 3 years, Ericsson has upskilled ~15,000 telecom experts with AI and data science expertise. The Ericsson framework and other tested and trusted insights have been covered in our executive program, Generative AI for Business Leaders, which you can find here: https://lnkd.in/diUe5uN4 The program is packed with world-class nuggets from experts like Li Jiang (Stanford’s AIRE director), Amy Webb (NYU Stern School of Business), and Jeroen Kraajenbrink (Strategy Inc.), along with practical insights from the World Economic Forum, McKinsey, Microsoft, Bloomberg Research, Emerj, LXT AI, OpenAI, and others. We work with public and private institutions around the world, to re-define what it means to create and capture value in the age of AI, so feel free to drop a message and we can set up a quick meeting✨ #ai #training #innovation #futureofwork #digitaltransformation

The global AI market is expected to exceed $1 trillion by 2028. We've decided to invite the industry leaders to discuss and address the impact on skills. I am thrilled to announce the launch of our new report “Addressing the new skills in an AI World” by CFTE - Centre for Finance, Technology and Entrepreneurship and the British Chamber of Commerce Singapore (BritCham), following up a roundtable, I had the pleasure to co-chair with Mike Rourke. Because of AI and Gen AI innovations, new players emerged, new activities were created, old roles were transformed or disappeared, and new roles appeared. New skills are therefore required to understand this new world. This report will give you an insight into: 1 -The Current Landscape of AI Skills, including how they are structured and the challenges in bridging the AI skills gap 2- The Role of Stakeholders in AI Education and Adoption, covering the involvement of individuals, private organisations and governments 3- Best Practices for Bridging the AI Skills Gap, both at an organisational and country level 👉 New skillsets are essential. To keep pace with AI advancements, professionals will need to develop new skills in areas like data analysis, machine learning, and human-centered design. We call for an updated Skills Framework. 👉Collaboration is critical. The effective development and implementation of AI requires collaboration between diverse teams with expertise in technology, business, and ethics. 👉The human touch remains vital. While AI automates tasks, human skills like critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving will continue to be essential for success. 👉 Basic AI Awareness is key to the successful #AIadoption: all employees, regardless of their roles, understand the basics of AI. 👉 Impacts of the skills gap are seen in industries like finance, where it raises concerns about over-reliance on AI, potential job losses, and the necessity to continually adapt and learn new skills 👉 To transform #workforce to align with emerging technologies, the #government's role is to include acknowledging the skills gap, preventing job losses, and fostering a conducive regulatory environment for the advancement of AI The report provides a practical overview of the current state and to understand the potentials and the actionable strategies. Thank you to the discussants for bringing insightful perspectives to the round table. 🤖 As we enter a new year, the progress and trajectory of Artificial Intelligence (AI) hints at a future where its integration into society will be deeper, more nuanced, and perhaps more transformative than we can imagine, even despite the advancements we witnessed in 2023. This short post is an exploration of what those might be, based on the historical trends and priority areas we anticipate. 💡In the near future, AI could revolutionise healthcare through personalised medicine. Imagine AI systems that can analyse your genetic makeup, lifestyle, and environment to predict health risks and tailor treatments. This level of personalised care could dramatically improve health outcomes and extend life expectancy. ✏ Education will likely witness a shift. AI could offer customised learning experiences, adapting to individual students' learning styles and pace. This personalised approach could help bridge educational disparities, offering every student an optimised method of learning. 💼 In the workplace, AI's role is poised to evolve from automation to augmentation. AI tools could enhance human creativity and problem-solving, leading to new levels of innovation. However, this will also necessitate a societal adaptation to new job landscapes and the need for continuous skill development. 🌍 On a broader scale, AI has the potential to address complex global challenges. From climate change to urban planning, AI's data-processing capabilities could offer insights and solutions previously beyond human reach. It could lead to more sustainable practices in industries and smarter, more efficient cities. 🤝 However, with great power comes great responsibility. The ethical implications of AI—privacy concerns, bias in decision-making, and the digital divide—must be addressed to ensure equitable and responsible development. As we advance, societal and ethical considerations must be at the forefront of AI development, ensuring that this technology benefits all, not just a select few. 🚀 As it stands, we’ve barely touched the sides of AI’s potential. We are excited to see how it will be utilised to shape society for the better, with a wider range of use cases and developments in the next year and beyond. The potential is immense, provided we navigate its development with caution and conscientiousness. ❗ Get in touch with EdgeMethods today by emailing info@edgemethods.com or visiting our website at www.edgemethods.com to see how we can help you on your AI journey. #ai #artificialintelligence #artificialintelligenceforbusiness #healthcare #education #workplace #business #transformation #future
