GCCs in India stand out in one unique way as compared to GCCs in the rest of the world. Read on to find out. 53% of GCCs in India are now operating as Portfolio and Transformation Hubs - a significant leap from 18% just a decade ago. nasscom and Zinnov have come together to create a 4 stage GCC maturity model in the latest "India GCC Landscape Report – The 5 Year Journey". The first stage- Outpost, denotes organizations providing basic tech and operational support with limited involvement in development. The next stage, Satellite- involves more comprehensive tech and business support with end-to-end ownership across select business lines. The third stage is called Portfolio hub- where the GCC drives innovation and serves as a centralized solution hub for diverse technology portfolios. India's IT-BPM industry is thriving, with emerging hubs playing a pivotal role. Cities are transforming into tech powerhouses, attracting global investments and talent. During a recent webinar with nasscom, Keerthi Kumar, Partner, Deloitte India talked about the rise of the next wave of technology hubs in India driven by government efforts and with businesses focussing on multi-location strategy.He emphasised how 11-15 percent of India's IT-BPM talent came from emerging hubs, making them well-placed to lead the next wave of transformation.
