Hello! It's been a joy to be working more and more with the team at NASTAD on a myriad of projects and goals relating to health equity. Recently this labor of love that has collected all kinds of insights on just practices in HIV work has been released, and I have been fortunate to have some of my projects and work highlighted from Philly! Please check out some of the great work jurisdictions around the country are endeavoring in order to expand access, care, prevention, and supports to all people living (and thriving!) with HIV. Thank you to NASTAD for bringing this to life. #healthequity #publichealth #HIV

NASTAD’s new 🧰 Advancing Organizational Equity (AOE) Toolkit 🧰 offers guidance on operationalizing equity principles and strengthening organizational capacity to address inequities within health departments. This resource documents the experiences of seven health department jurisdictions in operationalizing equity principles and frameworks to increase organizational capacity to address internal inequities (e.g., hiring and retention, creating internal equity groups, and providing high-impact, ongoing equity training to staff). The AOE Toolkit provides: 🛠️ Tangible strategies to assist EHE and NASTAD member jurisdictions to implement equity principles and frameworks within their agencies; 🪚 Specific guidance to operationalize equity concepts and frameworks for EHE and NASTAD member jurisdictions; 🪛 Technical assistance resources to health department staff receiving limited support to operationalize organizational equity work.
