You may spend your whole life competing with others, trying to prove that you are somebody and still feel like nobody. You don't have to prove your worth to anyone. You were created for a purpose; your life has meaning, and when you develop the self-confidence to follow your heart and your dreams, you are now competing with yourself to become the very best version of yourself—no one else. Sometimes, we may doubt ourselves or feel some sense of fear, but the truth is, you are more powerful than you think. We must retrain ourselves to eliminate our fears and self-doubt and build our self-esteem and self-confidence. Believe in yourself; you are braver than you think, more talented than you know, and capable of more than you ever imagined. You are somebody, and ensure that your actions and behaviors are driven by your internal desires to become the very best version of yourself, not any external expectation set by anyone. Inspire your team with our Amazon bestseller, "Unlock the Hidden Leader: Become The Leader You Were Destined To Be." This book has already transformed countless leaders; now it's your turn. For me, it has always been like this... I was always looking for a better version of mine, learning each day something new, challenging myself to do things better, faster, to improve the processes, to develop myself and also the people in my team, to motivate them, to make them go above and beyond first of all for them! And you can learn from anybody, anytime, also from any source, you just have to care and to have the will to be a better version of yourself each day. I graduated Automatics & Computers Politehnica Bucharest, I had different roles in my 27 years of experience, including BI, project management, data management and... surprise! What did I do? I started to learn how to paint and I am doing this since 2018. Now I have my own online art gallery, www.artconnect.ro, I have also participated to 2 solo art exhibitions, one in September 2022 and one in March 2023, I participated to multiple international art contests were I was in Top 3 or Top 10, I also gained 3 years in a row a diploma from Luxembourg Art Prize contest (you can find more on my site, www.artconnect.ro). And recently, I started my YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/@ArtConnectPaintings So... aim to be a better version of yourself each day !

I am motivated by competition. Give me an opponent, a contest, or something to win and I get more engaged! BUT with unhealthy conflict where someone else has to be made smaller for me to succeed…I want to be as far away from that as possible!!!

Seeking validation from sources outside of ourselves is as old as humanity. It isn’t wrong as long as we are listening to the right voice/voices. We are designed to spur one another on to be even better than we are. Pride is competitive, even in isolation and self-seeking just to be better ourselves. Try as we may, we always default to external voices as well as the thoughts in our heads. The impostor in us all usually always wiggles its way back to the forefront of our lives. It’s not just an escape from… but an acquiring to… How would we remove the air from a glass jar? By just trying to vacuum the air from the jar. I think not. But by filling the jar with something weightier, such as water, the air is removed. So who or what is that weightier, external, validating voice where we can find peace in our true selves and not just some newer, better version of the old self in all of us?🧐Thanks for your time!

So many miss the simplicity but power in this message. I would remind all improvement of ourselves is uphill from our current situation and it requires us to be intentional about our efforts to climb. We don’t stay focused on that intent when we’re busy comparing and denigrating/patting ourselves our back over what they are doing/did.

There are two things that are completely unique in this world: 1/. One’s fingerprint 2/. One’s story-line of life No two persons will ever share these two things. One’s story will never be duplicated elsewhere with anyone else. Hence there is no point of drawing futile comparisons.

That's a great mindset! Focusing on self-improvement rather than competing with others can lead to personal growth and fulfillment. It's about striving to be the best version of yourself each day. Do you have any specific goals or areas you're working on for self-improvement?

It's a mindset and discipline period

If you have ever been in a meeting that becomes a competition for who can talk over someone else, wants you to know they have the best and only relevant ideas, or choose to dismiss other team member's contributions, you have experienced the need some have to be in competition as opposed to participate in team collaboration. Ultimately that behavior is a really bad look and almost never gets the desired results. I recommend taking a breath, listen, and share your ideas as part of a collaboration. Support all team participants. You don't need need to compete to shine. Be kind and respectful - people will notice!
